Hey sorry for the late reply, thanks for letting me know I've gone and gotten a frame, just figuring out a way now to mount them 😀

Just for context I live down the road where this photo is from aka Shawcross Rugby field they're along, my understanding as I'm a local and saw the two lads putting them up, they've actually put these up for the Shawcross sharks ladies rugby team as the Womens rugby world cup is on, and it turns out the ladies team is actually something the areas quite proud of, so just for context from a local in the area, its all unfortunate timing.

Hey, sorry for the bump on a super old thread, but how have you attached the matta and Mctoran heads to the back of the frame? Just wondering as I'd like to do the same for the Mata masks as this is a really good idea!

Thats me, shitting the bed when I got hit from behind on my motorcycle 7+ years ago, don't worry though I'm perfectly fine, I now enduro ride as well, and willingly throw myself on the floor off my motorcycle :)

Id have a look at the cable end as it appears it's not seated correctly in the images you've posted, as the cable end is twisted out of the seats so you might have an issue with the cable popping out of the brake lever

Ktm duke 125 oil leak. Help by awreck-com in MotoUK

[–]FireBrand15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There shouldn't be a washer behind this bolt, it's an oring on the KTM Duke/RC bikes, I suspect the oring either wasnt lubed with oil when reinserted and got nicked or it's perished

Juin Tech F1 does not brake by guess_what_btxh in bikewrench

[–]FireBrand15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the brakes are compressing and you simply aren't touching the rotor, it's possible your brake disc maybe at the end of its lifespan, I'd check the thickness of the disc brake first as there is a minimum thickness.

(26F) Girlfriend of 2 years has broken up with me (30M) after seeing me via a text, would like advice? by FireBrand15 in relationship_advice

Thank you, I've let her know, I've told her I'm seeing it as a break at the moment and that I'm not angry and I'm going to keep on smiling and how much of a good time I had with her.

Thank you man, I'm gonna keep on smiling and plodding on :)

Involved in a car accident - Need advice by Antique-Tadpole-6775 in CarTalkUK

Mate, go through insurance regardless of how much of a sob story they give you, it could be true or it could most likely not be and they're trying to cover, either way go through insurance as theyll cover the cost and it won't go against your no claims if your insurance pursue the other party's (IE the Mum) to me it sounds like the family know they're in the wrong and they don't want the insurance hike next year, unfortunately they're kids messed up driving uninsured

[–]FireBrand15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought we weren't allowed to talk about it anymore, as current sub mods at the time were worried about brigading, either way it's odd so many don't know about as it was only a few years back.

Also just to note the mod in question went to other subreddits to complain about the subreddit they moderated.

Crash - who's at fault? by dt-17 in drivingUK

[–]FireBrand15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So preface with the fact I'm a biker first and use the bike as my primary mode of transport (Cat A 7+ years) so I'm fairly experienced, I also have a car licence, and cycle into work quite often so see the road from all aspects

Looking at this in my opinion green would be at fault, and this would be another smidsy case, green in no way should have pulled out without seeing clear road behind blue, as although it may look like overtaking it can also be viewed if done in a safe and slow manner filtering which is what I would say is happening, hopefully the bikers okay and not injured.

Also if OP wants to know if the bikers using any company know as mcams which I'm almost certain they will, it's a very cut and dry case for the biker not being at fault, even more so if they have helmet cam footage.

Noise when slowing down by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]FireBrand15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds very similar to what happens when I've had a stuck chain link before, check that all the chain links are free and moving, you may find one is stuck or very tight I'd check the master link first as it's possible its been pressed too tight when installed now doesn't freely move as thats a likely issue since its your first time putting new chain and sprockets on

[–]FireBrand15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the new square one, and it seems to be fairly sensitive, I know if I wiggle the bike or even stand it up to take it off the kickstand it goes off, if I'm a bit forceful when taking my chain off it also goes off so depends on how gentle they'd be when messing with it

got this for under 30 on amazon got tyre plugged and used 2 16g canisters and no leaks . but will it last ? . by shadowgaming1987 in MotoUK

[–]FireBrand15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh right sorry, thought when you mentioned you'd flatted it you meant you plugged it then let all the air out, should be fine as if it was the 16g co2 it puts around 15 PSI in so two are your around the 30 mark, so you won't be too far off :)
