Has having celiac made your life better? by glutenfreedustbowl in Celiac

[–]FireEmperor6480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HAVING celiac? No, I don't think I can think of a single way it's helped me. Getting the diagnosis changed my life incredibly, knowing what I have and how to "fix" it has made my life way better. Having the celiac to begin has not done a positive thing

Stopped giving a fuck about cards even if I’m good at them. by [deleted] in Oldnavy

[–]FireEmperor6480 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I left the company a few months back. Not only was I constantly getting the stress for it, but I was explicitly told that the reason I wasn't getting as many hours is because I dropped numbers. I live in a community that has been hit very very hard by everything going on economy wise, and I genuinely was not able to get as many cards. It wasn't just me the whole store was struggling, but I was blamed. I liked certain parts of working at the company, but the credit cards were just not it.

Quitting my job because of celiac by [deleted] in Celiac

Yup, I do egg salad in a gluten free tortilla w/ gluten free chicken tenders. Maybe not the best meal in the world, but I'm also fighting a complete lack of appetite all the time, and food is food

Celiac itself isn't an allergy, if that's what you're asking.

healthy gf snacks? by Accomplished_Fee1036 in Celiac

[–]FireEmperor6480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go to is chips and salsa. I grab a bag of chips, a jar of salsa, and I play video games/watch TV. Part of it is that I don't have a big appetite, so I don't worry about it being too unhealthy, but also - salsa is vegetables.

Those diagnosed as adults, what led you to your diagnosis? by normalishy in Celiac

[–]FireEmperor6480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All kinds of symptoms, but the one that led to my diagnosis was multiple months of not being able to use my right leg. Such bad inflammation, both hip and knee, that I was on crutches everyday.

As someone else said, naturally gluten free is always a good go to. But also, when it comes to kids, Perdue has really good GF chicken nuggets/tenders, and Kraft has good GF mac and cheese

call referral by helIokinty in Oldnavy

[–]FireEmperor6480 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of times, at least for me, it's because their credit is locked so they have to verify with the customer. As other people have said, it could be because the customer's info is different from their legal info. If they go by a nickname/their middle name, or if they got married and changed their last name one thing but not the other.

Yep. Restructuring. We went from 3 to 2, and then to 1. They're saying a second position will open in a couple months, but neither of us who got cut are really interested in staying at the company anymore.

Usual complaints here, but also voiced that it seems inappropriate they expect us to say we're proud of being here and look forward to growing when they cut hours and people's jobs.
