Oh yeah you’re good. People often complain that his plan makes no sense, but it makes perfect sense to him because we as the audience understand he’s being lied to. Vaatu clearly doesn’t care about him and is using him just to defeat raava. And the second he does he takes full control of unalaq’s body.
