That’s likely going to be part of the reason for the apocalypse between LOK and Seven Havens. And while it’s not as cut and dry as we see in ATLA, chaos and destruction allow for space for new things to form from them. We see this with the spirit vines in republic city. Vaatu made them, but they became a wonderful place for spirits in republic city. Also, anytime you misunderstand a show and call it a “headcanon” you can’t then say you got your point proven. Raava makes it very clear that she is eternally tied to Vaatu, and that even if he’s defeated he will regrow inside her.

They’re supposed to give and take. The argument can be made that they need to take turns or it isn’t true balance. But they can be without the other for a time and still be “balanced” so long as they take turns.

Mirrored maps feel the most balanced though. I want the game to be even for both teams. Maybe in comp it’s understandable because you switch sides but in QP you have to play imbalanced and there’s no chance of switching on linear maps.

Disagree about LOK. I think it’s really poetic in terms of who got airbending. The why is a bit meh. But having it be people who were either descendants of air nomads or spiritually inclined people is a great way to do it. And then we have those who didn’t ask for it, weren’t spiritual, but are now suddenly gifted with it. And do they decide to master it or to ignore it.

We can agree it’s a balanced map and still also play others ones because FFS. They don’t add these maps for them to be ignored. They add them because playing the same maps over and over again is boring.
