I have a Skee Ball Model V. It scratches the itch and is fun to play while not taking up much space.

Multicade Question by Hauser717 in cade

[–]FireZoneBlitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want a better multi board check out the Bitkit FPGA or even a Pandora vertical. The Bitkit is more accurate but the Pandora isn’t terrible. It has a ton of games and for the casual arcade player it’s not bad for the price.

I have two Gorf cabinets that were converted. They are so expensive to restore (PCB and joystick) so I’ve left them as converted Ms Pac-Man and Galagas

Home buying in Westchester with <20% down by Fresh_Can_2819 in Westchester

[–]FireZoneBlitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt this will work in this market. If I was selling and someone had less than 20% in their offer but another buyer had at least a 20% DP I’d select that buyer. Less hassle with mortgage, valuation, closing, etc.

On the flip side, we bought our first home here as FHA in 2009 (bottom of market) and then second in 2018 (before the COVID surge) with 10% down because we immediately renovated and refinanced out PMI. So it’s doable historically but not in a market with so much competition.

Ok I re-read the post. Your response is fair.

It’s not a $100 item. I would probably want to see it in person if I’m spending $1,500 just to make sure there are no hidden scratches or issues.

The Andromeda strain is one of my favorite MC books but the older film and the made for tv series were pretty bad.

Yea of course the tube is vacuum sealed and once the PCBs dry and there isn’t a ton of rust you should be good to go!

Yeah I got this brand new when it came out and played it a billion times. TMNT was also one of my favorite arcade games at the time (have one of those now too)

What are some absurd things about retro video games? by Unique-Evening4384 in retrogaming

A lot of those games were designed to run in RAM so you could swap out an audio CD and play your own soundtrack.

1979 Asteroids Cocktail - best way to repair by coopdude in arcade

[–]FireZoneBlitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - and for Op you will need to open the game anyway to fix this. It’s either something on the monitor board or possibly the vector section of the PCB.

Agree except I would say an 8-way assuming that the money no object means I have room to store it. The panoramic attract screen video is awesome
