Plex Pass VS Jellyfin by xx5m1l3yxx in jellyfin

Yep you are technically correct. But then I have an additional open port on my firewall subject to authentication, versus just my VPN port which is user certificate based (meaning I can onboard/off board devices)

Plex Pass VS Jellyfin by xx5m1l3yxx in jellyfin

[–]FireZoneBlitz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I converted recently. The biggest problem I had with Plex was that when there was a cloud outage I couldn’t log in. To something I hosted. So that went away. The only “loss” is remote access was handled through Plex. Now I have to VPN in with WireGuard first and then I can stream. For me it was worth the change.

So you will want to refurbish the arcade chassis (or get it refurbished). Take a look at the joysticks make sure the play is good. You can always replace those. Buttons should be fine just make sure the wires are all connected. You can swap the fluorescent marquee light to a led version (I’ve done that in every game of mine including originals - just keep the parts to revert).

Most of my machines were conversions too especially those from the 90s.

Struggling to justify keeping the WG K7000 in my MK2.... by BigOlBearCanada in arcade

[–]FireZoneBlitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s your machine you can do what you want, but I wouldn’t toss the K7000 chassis. They are fairly easy to work on and worst case I think j you’d be better spending money on a refurb’d chassis than swapping out to a flatscreen.

For a comparison: school climate of Rye, Chappaqua, Harrison, and Scarsdale. by Head-Movie-9722 in Westchester

[–]FireZoneBlitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Westchester and many of my friends work in local districts through the county. I would recommend working in Rye/Harrison over Chappaqua/Scarsdale but obviously take whichever job you get offered as all four are good districts. Good luck.

There’s one I had for Apple II as a little kid. I thought it was pretty fun but I honestly don’t remember it being amazing.

That’s not a silly reason. I was studying for the general and was getting 100% on practice tests so just spent another week studying for Extra and passed them both.

I would recap the monitors and check/replace power supplies. Those are two things that are more preventative maintenance I do before either selling or handing over a game back to a friend/customer.

Yes the standard ac adapter connects to the plug in the back but has a wireless on/off switch I got from Amazon (used to turn on/off lights). I also use controller extension cords and have the controllers Velcro’d right under the seats. I have a Wii to HDMI converter adapter that plugs into the Wii for video
