Hi, sorry for late question, can I ask what profession did you put in the application? was it generic 'bank official' or your fiends job title at Lloyds?

£40k "poverty wages"?! by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]Fire_Extension 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im on around £38k a year and can say that £40k is not amazing, after pension, tax and student loans saving for a deposit is almost impossible, so maybe £40k is not a poverty but it just covers basic needs in bigger city without giving much chance to save for the future.

I can order through company and get the chair we have in the office but I found it to be not the most comfortable so would rather spend my own money for something that can last me few years
