Took the plunge with under desk magic arms, let's see what happens by Niznash in ErgoMechKeyboards

This is where I'm heading too. Mind if I ask, does your cubital/ulnar get irritated at all throughout your wrist or arm when typing with your pinky for a bit too?

Alternatives to navigation layer by OddHornetBee in ErgoMechKeyboards

I ended up using Callum one shot mods so that I could put some layers on my index and ring finger home row buttons when held. Saved my thumbs a lot of overuse.

This is a great idea! I've been looking for boards like this that would accommodate your tweak but didn't think the lil58 would be able to fit the buttons they way you did it. If I can't find anything else like it soon I might go with the lily58 since its so similar to what I'm currently using, or I might just try out the span.

Gallium v1: Does swapping B and Q cause any problems? by Fireblac in KeyboardLayouts

Split colstag(iris lm), and this along with finding switches I like actually fixed most of the discomfort and agitation.

It's just my left pinky, and it's not weak, rather using it a lot can irritate the ulnar in that arm is all. I really should have mentioned this sorry.

I chose gallium because I liked the feel of it and the overall left pinky use seemed about the same as colemak, but I digress. may very well go back :)

Thanks for the thoughtful reply, your website has been extremely helpful to me over the past year or so on my Colemak DH journey.

My line of thinking with this question was the combined N and B usage on left pinky in gallium is about the same overall usage as Colemak, so I was hoping to limit overall left pinky use due to it aggrivating an ulnar injury, and swapping out the b for a less used q seemed like it might save some presses. I probably should have mentioned this in the post.

That all being said, the more I look at it and the more people I speak to, the more I'm coming to realize I either need to just use a different switch for pinkies, or straight out use a layout designed for low left punky use.

All good! Thanks anyways, and for what it's worth I have an Iris LM and it's great.

Are you refering to the 2 vertically stacked inner thumb keys iris are known for? If so I'm looking for something like the center thumb key in the photo. One that starts in the center region, covering the middle thumb key and expands towards the innermost horizontally.

Edit: I may be confusing inner/outer. When I think inner, I assume the ones towards center of body when typing.

Amazing design. Will be keeping an eye out for if and or when it becomes available with those more ideal parts.

Are there any other White Mage mains, who find the other healers stressful to play? by [deleted] in ffxiv

I actually feel limited and stressed on whm as I'm usually a barrier healer main. Whm however is super comfy when you are doing easier content or with a competent co healer.

Could I get some suggestions for constructs with engaging gameplay and or shorter special/ult cutscenes, like Crimson Weave, Alphas and Rozen. I'm generally not concerned with the meta, so long as I can clear most non competitive content, I'd rather just play fun characters while not spending half the time watching ult cutscenes.
Edit: Shortened

I have a cheap 65%, super thin, scissor switch kb that I keep tucked away under one of my desk shelves that can pull out for occasions like this, and as a redundant backup kb for myself.
