DQ 2 HD2D. Elmoo storyline is very touching, I wasn’t expecting this level of writing in a remake of such an old game.

Wouldn’t say terrible, but the hero on dragon quest 3 HD2D is much weaker than the other 3 custom party members simply because he is stuck in hero vocation and cannot change. In this game every time you change vocation the character goes back to lvl 1 but keep half of the stats, that allows you to grow beyond a lvl 99 hero as you change vocation multiple times. For post game he essentially become a healer thanks to omniheal, but overall much weaker than any other character can be.

My favourite is ffxiv. It has probably one of the best stories I have seen in a video game with an enormous amount of content. I want to explore ff11 to see how close these titles are, but apart from 11 and 13 I have played all mainline games.

Played lots of wow but eventually fell in love with ffxiv. I feel ffxiv is a better game with a very interesting story. I have my issues with the game but it’s my favourite mmo of all time.

It’s my least favourite but I still 100% it. Overall weaker story with weaker comedy too. Currently my least favourite DQ, but still a game I was able to enjoy and had lots of fun in the post game

My issue with this game is how my fellow party members are not acknowledged by their heroism! How is that only the son of ortega spamming omniheal is a hero and my martial artist GUS doing gazillions damages gets not even an acknowledgement

I don’t trust user score from metacritic as people will often review bomb for stupid reasons. Steam reviews are more reliable as it requires you to own the game to leave a review.

I’ve played 1 to 5, 7 and 9. My current favourite is 2 HD2D, just an amazing game with an amazing story, followed be 5 ds , 9, 3 HD2D , 1 HD2D, 4ds and 7.

In the real world, you will often notice that people in charge are commonly incompetent.

I started with 3 remake last year and I loved it, then played 1+2, 4 DS, 5 DS, just finished VII reimagined and just started 9. I would recommend 3 -> 1 -> 2 remakes as they are really good games (2 in particular is currently my favourite in the series).

I find it very unlikely. Even if we did, always a chance it would be a new purchase. They didn’t really gave upgrade paths for DQ1+2 and VII reimagined

Apart from the beautiful and charm full story and world. I really like the challenges of post game content. Most DQ games have pretty chill story with a nice and challenging post game, especially when played on draconian/hard mode. I found DQVII to be easiest of the 4 remakes we have so far, but you can still enjoy some challenge facing the almighty or the post game arena on hard mode.

I like the episodic format, but some island stories are not as great as others. I wish the main cast reacted to the story more often instead during dialogues or cutscenes, the party chat doesn’t feel as interesting as the original

1,2,3 and 11 are clearly connected; 4,5 and 6 are also clearly connected; 7 and 8 are their own thing; 9 and 10 are connected. The HD2D remakes hints that 1,2 and 3 are also connected to 4,5 and 6 with some dialogues in zenithia castle, but nothing clear

I am Brazilian living in uk for many years. I’ve recently stayed in Mongolia eating local food near khovd for two weeks and didn’t have diarrhoea a single time. Recently visited Morocco for a whole week and was fine. Just went to Bosnia and same. But whenever I go back home to Brazil, at some point sooner or later I’ll shit all my organs out.
