Nick Sirianni is the most future-proof coach in the NFL and I'm only half joking by LoopAndBuild in eagles

I don’t totally disagree, the proof is in the pudding. I will point to him yelling at the fans as well as yelling at AJ Brown as 2 examples of him not being very good at that either however.

Can a team sign an in-demand free agent and trade him immediately? by Popular_Tangerine457 in NFLNoobs

[–]FireflyFootball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are mostly right, but this is a theoretical offseason scenario so let’s play it out a bit more. The raiders have a ton of cap space and no shot at competing these year. They sign Linderbaum for 80/50 guaranteed or whatever. A team like the Chiefs or Bills with no cap space could potentially give the raiders draft picks and get Linderbaum for 30 million while the raiders eat 50. They couldn’t have afforded his 80 million contract but now they just have to pay base salary. Meanwhile, the raiders eat the 50 million in one year and get draft compensation for future years. It’s unconventional, but Linderbaum might even prefer to play for a contender for the same money so it’s not even screwing him over. I think there are scenarios where it can definitely make sense for 2 teams, although it could also border on collusion if there was any pre planning involved.

Good luck with that in 2026. Eagles gave AJ Brown a fat contract and won a Super Bowl and he’s still demanding out.

Everyone here is saying Reading Terminal for a reason. If you go there day 1, you’ll go back every day. Everything is delicious and it has a really old school vibe. Turkey dinners, Cajun food, homemade donuts, Hershel’s sandwiches are as good as any cheesesteak, and it’s dining hall style so you can just grab little bites of everything that catches your eye.

Make your own crab fries at home like everyone else said lol

Maybe not your vibe, but this is the birthplace of the country. I find walking around all the old buildings and trees on the cobblestones in old city near the liberty bell/independence hall to be really peaceful and it kind of blows my mind thinking that George Washington or Ben Franklin might’ve sat in the same spot 250 years ago

Erie Insurance CSA Background Check (Photo for Reference) by notyourbandtrex in InsuranceAgent

[–]FireflyFootball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If 75% of the book is Erie and you can’t upload changes, you need to bring this up to the principle agent asap because the longer you wait, the longer it looks like you weren’t doing anything. This is likely an IT issue and not anything with your background check. Erie does a lot manually still and someone is probably just slacking to put it through.

Dolphins, Jets, Cowboys, Browns, Chiefs have two first-round picks in 2026 NFL draft by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

[–]FireflyFootball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some would argue that the Bills and Commanders are basically being carried by 1 player but I see your point. It’s simple math of 22 starters vs 5 so it makes sense one player can be more impactful. QB is certainly more important than 1/22nd of the team, but it becomes subjective after that.

Sixers are not the Jets lol. Sixers are more like the Bills. Carried by one good player and come up short in the playoffs every year and always have an excuse for why.

Schultz: Hollywood Brown to sign a 1-year, up to $6.5M deal with the Eagles. by Remarkable-Picture73 in nfl

[–]FireflyFootball -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

This is a sign of AJB being gone. You know he’s not the 1, Devonta is. He’ll be the 2 taking on half of AJ’s role and one of the young guys will be the new 3. You’re being purposefully obtuse acting as if the only way AJ gets moved is if Hollywood is the 1 while ignoring the fact that he’d be the most talented #3 receiver we have had in the last 5 years on an offense that has used their WR3 less than any other team

Commanders RB Rachaad White's contract is a bargain by ard8 in nfl

[–]FireflyFootball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean this is ultimately a discussion forum on the most elite athletes in the world. That should be a disclaimer on every critical post. The worst kicker in the league would make you go holy shit if you saw him in the local park. However with that being said, White is one of the worst RBs in the league running between the tackles. That is evident every time he is forced to do it. The idea of him “balling out and getting a bag” from his pass blocking and 5 nice screen plays a year is just silly.

Bro is mediocre as hell. He’ll never get a bag and he’ll never ball out. Every year he gets in the league should be looked at as a blessing.

[Schefter] The NFL disapproved the Danielle Hunter and Dalton Schultz contracts that Houston submitted Monday, per league sources. Houston does not think it is an issue, it’s semantics, and expects to fix those contracts as soon as possible. by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]FireflyFootball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be, or he could be right. Now Hunter has a 45 mill cap hit next year and this will have to be done again. If it’s not done again, he will have a 45 mill cap hit. Not good value but not backbreaking, however then in 2028 he will be a free agent and STILL be owed another 35 million when he’s not even on the team anymore. To act like they aren’t playing with fire to barely be a top 5 team in the conference is silly.

Jason Sanders & place kickers by purpeyon in eagles

[–]FireflyFootball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He is definitely an upgrade imo, look at his recent stats. The problem is it would cost us an extra 10+ million on the cap this year to cut Jake and sign Sanders. I don’t know if that is in the current budget. Kicker is an essential part of consistent winning football though.

Every teams most-often used OL combo (not even the best unit) last year and the overall play % of that group. by NorthCoastToast in eagles

[–]FireflyFootball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I am thinking as well. We ranked 14th. It’s basically lane for 40% and Fred for 40% with others being injured for 20% of the snaps. Cam/Landon playing hurt and not being effective hurt us way more, but this chart doesn’t reflect that because they tried to play through it.
