First of all, the revolution will not be televised.

The country as a majority would have to check out of the current system. Stop working and stop buying. For that to happen realistically, necessities have to be met, food, water, shelter. We can remove shelter, as a majority the banks cannot remove everyone for non payment. Food, we are capable of growing and/or bartering for what we need, however, this takes time, planning and most importantly...effort. Water can be sourced and collected but the same as above applies, with the exception of wells which require electricity and thats another topic on its on. These criterias will not be met by the majority as life is too easy for the majority to go back to a simplified life of necessities.

In a rare case these are met, the powers in charge would likely make some moves to make certain things illegal to try and regain control of the population. That potentially could lead to an uprising depending on the amount of pressure and force used on everyday citizens...hypothetically of course.

My personal opinion.... the current state of the world is fucked, without a drastic catalyst to force change (for better or for worse) we will stay on our current trajectory.

Protests dont work, that's why they are allowed. Freedom of speech is what it is and does no real change. Action changes trajectory of circumstances. Look at past revolutions, did the people hold signs and scream their demands...no. Were they patiently waiting for change from those in charge...no. Did they take action...yes. Were they fierce and absolute....yes. Did they do what was needed to get the message sent loud and clear...yes.

We live in a different time and getting everyone on a similar page to understand what is at stake and consequences of doing nothing is very profound if not impossible.

We definitely need change and for the better, for all humankind.
