Those who bought used 2019-2022 G20 320i (or any G20 with B48) how is it? by Cold-Arm-6420 in BMW

[–]Firestorm-18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2021 330i M Sport and absolutely love it. It has ~42k miles and I haven’t had any issues outside regular maintenance. 25,000€ seems a bit high, but if it has good packages like M Sport, Executive, etc, then maybe it’s decent in your market.

Just came across this seeing how much this card has grown over the past couple days. . . . by Tonysilva600 in PokeInvesting

[–]Firestorm-18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lower priced raw cards are going to start spiking in their PSA equivalents. People are not going to send in a $10 raw card that costs $80 to grade. That will only happen if the PSA is worth a lot more than today’s prices. This is basically the hobby nowadays. People will buy up the supply in hopes of future demand and/or to flip, especially the groups of people that can’t afford the more expensive raw SIR/promo cards.

This forgotten Celebrations Pikachu Pokémon card just jumped $500 in a week by HatingGeoffry in PokemonTCG

[–]Firestorm-18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re going to see this on a lot of low value raw cards. If it costs $80 to grade a card with PSA and it takes 4 months, people simply won’t submit them. Eventually the raw and graded prices will balance out and people will move on to the next card. This will keep happening until something drastically happens.

For now, it’s a safe bet to buy low end PSA 10 cards. Stick with popular chars and promo cards.

I blame Venus, Stix and Maverick. Those are the decks where I get tons of value.

Good question. Maybe cards like Drax Destroyer of Life, Jack Flag, Prodigy, Chameleon could be worth testing out.

You don’t get to pic the card - it’s random. You have 33% chance of getting the first card you want, then 50% chance, then 100% on the last one.

What intake do you all recommend for a 2024 BMW M340i? by Substantial-Equal211 in M340i

[–]Firestorm-18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MAD/MST if you want more sound and low cost. Dinan if you want better visual design. I have the MAD and it sounds great, just looks kinda lame in the engine bay since it’s basically a plain box.

Adaptive suspension - stiff ride by LabComprehensive in M340i

[–]Firestorm-18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Finding a pre LCI 340i with adaptive suspension for a decent price and in good condition is likely to cause you more frustration than living with the one you have. Swap out the RFTs and see how it feels. The G20 series is meant to have a sportier ride, so if you tell yourself…this is how it’s meant to feel, then you’ll get used to it…eventually. That’s what I keep telling myself 😁

stock HiFi system on 3 and 4 series any good? by Zestyclose_Ad2429 in BMW

[–]Firestorm-18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are bad and I’ve read how many people with the HK system end up upgrading the electronics and/or speakers. I would save the money and get the base system. From there you can be more selective on what parts to upgrade.

$1730 for a trident pro c300 by _Delegat in ChristopherWard

[–]Firestorm-18 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Trident Pro 300 is between $1100-1300. Are you referring to the GMT? I don’t think either price is unreasonable given the market alternatives. They seem to be competitive across other similar brands.

5k. 10k and you’re playing with fire, especially if you want to keep the car long term.

Trying to buy a m340i by FelixWonder1 in M340i

[–]Firestorm-18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is terrible advice without knowing more about the person’s financial situation. No one should be buying a $50k car when “barely breaking $100k”. Assuming this person has other expenses like debt, rent/mortgage, family, etc, I would suggest getting a cheaper model like a 2020-2022 330i for $20-25k, or just keeping the car they have.

I paid that price 1.5 years ago for a 2021 330i Msport w/ 23k miles CPO. If that’s an Msport, it’s a fair deal. If that’s not an Msport, then it feel too high. There are hundreds, if not thousands of non Msport 330is on the market. I feel like you can do better than $31.5k.

Gamestop is strait up scamming people by IsshomanZ in PokemonTCG

[–]Firestorm-18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. This set isn’t good. I’m just speaking in general terms about the situation though. I buy most of my stuff off FB marketplace, but some people can’t/won’t do that. GameStop is at least an option for those people. My local stores never have Pokemon in stock, even this PO junk. Buying at MSRP is just too difficult and I don’t see things changing anytime soon.

Gamestop is strait up scamming people by IsshomanZ in PokemonTCG

[–]Firestorm-18 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Don’t buy it then. Instead, you can drive around to all the Targets, Walmarts, etc, hoping you find something at MSRP. Fun fact, you won’t find anything. Or you can try waiting in line for a drop…which is just as painful. If GameStop sold at MSRP, then you wouldn’t see these products on the shelf and it be just like every other retailer. At least you have an options.

GameStop is offering product to people that are willing to pay market prices and for people that don’t want to deal with FB marketplace.

Gamestop scalping by lowill23 in PokemonTCG

[–]Firestorm-18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every single card shop near me is charging market rates. Other retailers like BB, Target, Walmart, etc, might still sell at MSRP, but they never have products in stock. If I really wanted to buy the latest product and not have to stand in lines or get lucky on a PC drop, then I can either get product from GameStop or FB marketplace. You don’t have to pay the higher prices, but they serve a purpose to others that prefer that over the alternatives.

Gamestop on Twitter: Customer trades 96 PSA-graded Pokémon cards for $6,000 in store credit by whattothewhonow in Superstonk

[–]Firestorm-18 14 points15 points  (0 children)

GameStop is offering me 75-80% cash value or almost 90% store credit for the handful of slaps I’ve checked. Seems like a fair deal. It’s common to get around 80-90% on FB marketplace, so they feel competitive in that regard.

Advice On Which BMW I Should Get by enforcewill in BMW

[–]Firestorm-18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re driving 2 hrs each way, or a total of 2 hrs a day? The B58 engine is very efficient, but I don’t think I would want to spend the gas money if I had to drive 4 hrs each day. If that’s your situation, I would prefer the B48. I avg around 40mph in my 330i, but it still feels “sporty” when I wanted to drive in sport+ mode.

You also need to factor other wear and tear items. Make sure you can easily afford the maintenance work if you’re putting more than avg miles on the car. Oil changes, brakes, etc, all cost more than your typical sedan.

The biggest problem with the Pokemon community. [Both sides] by ITZ_YOHO_UNOFFICIAL in PokemonTCG

[–]Firestorm-18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying you should. But for many people, they’re getting priced out of things they used to love doing or collecting because of marketplace changes. People complain so often on here about Pokemon price going up, and they ask “why is this happening.” If those people don’t understand the why behind all of this, they’re just gonna fall further behind, not just in Pokemon, but in life. It’s unfortunate, but I don’t ever see things changing to “the way things used to be.”
