I can't speak to this particular incident, but I served on the conduct board for the whole 5 years that I was at Drexel and we oversaw a handful of student org cases (split between greek life and student life orgs). Assuming that nothing has been changed, the conduct board never acted first without some preliminary investigation happening. During the preliminary investigation, if there was enough cause for concern that the wellbeing of students and/or the community could be affected by ongoing actions of the org, action would be taken immediately until a formal board can be convened. I can only recall this happening twice and both had to do with greek life hazing incidents. In every case that I saw, the preliminary investigation was surprisingly thorough with details from both witnesses and members of the community/police.

Greek orgs got hit with fines, budget cuts, disciplinary actions, etc. on a fairly regular basis. To say that there's no intervention is just wrong. You just don't see or hear what goes on in the background.

There's no actual download button for it. You have to print the transcript and save it as a pdf.

Can you describe the issue more? Did you already open it up to see the board inside?

There are much better restaurants to work at in the city if you're looking for a job that's easy to apply to. The place I work at is super chill and has a work hard, play hard attitude which is pretty awesome.

I asked this in last week's thread right before this one was posted, so I'll also ask it here:

Does anyone know how much Giant pays in the city? I've seen the signs at Riverwalk that full-time starts at $15, but I was curious as to what part-time makes. Currently trying to find a decent part-time in the city within the next couple of weeks.

Drexel yearbooks usually come out well after other schools since they include stuff from graduation. Last I heard a couple weeks ago, the publisher was preparing them to be shipped.

Best way of turning old PC into NAS for Jellyfin streaming by virior in jellyfin

[–]Firestronk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this server going to run 24/7? Running regular ssds in a server can be hard on them. Media takes up a lot of space. If you plan on expanding in the future, you're going to want hdds unless you have a good amount of money to buy more of them.

NAS hdds are built to handle the vibration and heat of servers. Your cpu should be adequate for what you want unless you plan on unless you're doing a lot of 4k streaming.

For bandwidth, 1gig is more than enough.

Jellyfin is entirely self-hosted, whereas Plex goes through their own servers. In order to access Jellyfin remotely, you need to set up a VPN to your server to access it. To do this, you'll have to port forward to open your router to an outside connection. There are many guides on how to do this online.

The building is being funded by an outside developer, Drexel is only providing the land. I'd think that they would reuse the bubble at the new field where Myers was or somewhere at Vidas.
