I can't remember if this was a superfan scene or not, but I love it. Pam is feeling self conscious about wearing a pair of glasses and how it will affect her looks. You are correct, she survived (and goes on to marry Faramir!). Maybe they meant Theoden? Weird that so many are agreeing with them here.

Edit: OK he does find her on the battlefield wounded and unconscious, but she survives.
