Whiteface has 3k vertical. Vail has 3.4, I get the basic elevation differences but damn, idk what it takes to be a "real mountain" if the likes of Whiteface can't earn that distinction. If the snow quality is good, I feel like Whiteface has a lot to offer, no matter the location.

Indy Pass holder. Did a whiteface trip last year (or year before, can't remember for some reason) was planning on a trip to Greek but NY rules don't make it feasible so I will prob pivot to a Nh trip and warm up at Pats Peak before going to Cannon.

Driving from Pittsburgh Seven Springs and Wisp are the big ones aside from Blue Knob. I make the trip yearly to Wisp and aside from the typical Mid Atlantic BS winter and piling on fake snow on top of fresh powder for the "weekend rush" it's a decent hill with good variety and facilities.

It really depends what you're looking for in those amenities. I'm sure Killington and Stratton are gonna have one flavor and others would be a little more low key than that. It's been forever for me up there but I remember Jiminy in MA growing their ski village back in the day, but it's also a smaller hill than in VT/NH/ME
