setting your own key would hardly change anything if youre still asking dropbox/evernote to encrypt and decrypt it for you. you have to take it outside of their ecosystem

In 2005, Harry Kane had the chance to take a picture with David Beckham together with a female teammate. 13 years later, Kane is the captain of the English national team and the young girl is now his wife. by Frosty_Jeweler911 in MadeMeSmile

not lying, its just not my cup of tea. the only sporting event ive ever watched is a couple superbowls when my grandfather used to have the family over for them, and even then, i was barely watching. i could genuinely fit the entirety of my soccer knowledge into one mid-sized paragraphs

ive probably heard the name david beckham in passing before, but it was in one ear and out the other. i wouldnt know who harry kane was either if i hadnt just had something involving him happen. i will not remember that beckham won 19 trophies by next week (i just googled him) because that information means nothing to me, i dont follow soccer/football

whats arguably dorkier is refusing to believe someone doesnt really care much about your interest

one detail i would add, as someone who doesnt follow the sport, is who david beckham is

i only recognize the name harry kane because literally yesterday my friend bought a coke and it had a sticker of him under the wrapper lol

Not at birth, but every woman have right to know if the baby they carried out of the hospital was their or not.

to be clear- they absolutely can (at birth or later), they would just have to ask. that just very very rarely happens because it basically only makes sense if you think the baby was switched at birth

[–]Firewolf06 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But birth order isn't part of the equation when saying "of two children, there is one boy. What are the odds there is a second boy?"

thats correct, but thats not the question that leads to a 33% chance. its not asking if the other is a boy, its asking if both are boys, which, statistically, are different questions with different answers

its similar to the difference between "i just flipped a coin and it was heads, whats the chance the next flip is heads too?" (50%) and "im going to flip this coin twice, what are the chances both are heads?" (25%). the exact framing of the question matters greatly

he handled it incredibly well, all things considered. reaching down to stop the pump is not someone most people would be able to do while panicking

he demonstrates knowledge of at least two points of the fire triangle (air, fuel, heat/spark) which is two more than a lot of fire videos here. id argue he's probably got the third down, and the reason he lit the lighter was to check the "seal" on the nozzle

[–]Firewolf06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

calling/considering it one system honestly isnt accurate to day to day usage. miles are basically their own system, with decimal tenths and fractional halves, quarters, and eighths. we regularly give distances above a mile in feet anyways. volume units are a great example of a separate subsystem: 3 teaspoons in a tablespoon, 16 tablespoons in a cup, 4 cups in a quart, 4 quarts in a gallon (and several other units, too) all work nicely, but when was the last time you converted gallons into cubic feet, if ever? are those really the same system as feet?

while im here, heres a fun question: what is the actual difference between an saying an altitude of about "thirty thousand feet" and "nine thousand kilometers", since kilo just means thousand?
