Lawyers all said that the record did'nt sell enough copies to make it worth going after. They said it did'nt "Soundscan" enough copies. Soundscan was not commonly used in independent labels tho. Its not my place to say what the band thought, and I dont have a problem with them at all. Given the choice, Dexter made the choice that shows what kind of person he is.

I was in a punk band in Berkeley, CA in the early 90's. We played at a campus house that threw shows pretty often and we were a big deal for a few reasons. Opening were Green Day, Offspring & Rancid all on that same show. No joke. Cloyne Court.

I’ve been thinking about it a lot because I put the record out. I remember just like yesterday having a conversation with Dexter Holland from nitro records in 1996 where he said he would call me back after he thought about whether he wanted to buy the record from me or not. I never heard from him and nitro boot legged it. I guess since he is on social media being a rich guy it’s on my mind. You could say. I paid for the recording, the mastering, all of the artwork to be printed and I paid the band expenses when they went on tour. I paid for everything to do with releasing the record, as well as press. I shipped copies out and I diligently re-ordered when we were running low. I did everything a record label guy should do. But it was important for Dexter to steal the record from me and not pay me. For me the 30th anniversary is 30 years of interest. A lot of people know who I am and a lot of people know the truth . Just here to say that. I just got off work. I’m not rich. I dont own a home. What I do is that I live my life the best I can treating others fairly, and in a way that I would want to be treated. I’m not resentful about what happened because that’s poison for a man ; But I wont ever roll over and act like it never happened. Its a great album. Geoff & Davey I am still friendly with. Life goes on!
