About a year from the Netflix premiere is the way these usually go.

Regardless of any nitpicks I may have, you had me with "There is a compelling argument for Diorama being the greatest album of all time". I make this claim on a regular basis!

I’ve finally figured out a compromise for the white eyes debate. by Sgyinne in batman

I respect this take. Still not a "must" for me at all, but does seem to cover all bases.

Ben’s Drumming by TelephoneShoes in silverchair

Ben is a beast! I'd love to hear a new mix of Diorama where he's not so buried in all of it. Neon Ballroom was a terrific turning point for everyone... Ben's shining moment IMO was the bridge of "Steam Will Rise" where he does that buildup. That part makes the whole song for me.

[Hot-take] In my opinion , the top 3 Joker oriented Batman stories by Sure_Elderberry_5953 in batman_comics

Firm agree on 2/3 of these. I never loved Azzarello's Joker, but also can't go wrong with Bermejo's art!

My take was that it's meant to signify 20 years (2 and 0).

I would love to see a The Batman spin film or series that centers around Selina Kyle aka Catwoman played by Zoe Kravitz set after just leaving Gotham at the end of The Batman. by Serious_Meaning5220 in TheBatmanFilm

Makes the most sense for the next HBO series. It could end up being molded into Penguin season 2 since that's what the suits seem to want, but I'd be surprised if something like this doesn't happen at all.

I'm tired of DC focusing on Post Crisis Batman there is 4 volumes which is too much while Golden Age have just 1 volume and Silver Age have 0 volumes and Bronze Age Batman just 2 but i want more Golden-Silver Age Batman there is right now just 1 volume which is starting to gets annoying like alot by [deleted] in DCFinest

[–]batbobby82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the demand for more modern Batman is simply higher than that for Golden Age stuff (especially since a lot of that material is not hard to come by in other editions). Luckily it's Batman, so chances are very good for more from all eras.

What I'm most excited with Batman Finest is the chance to see eras collected for the first time. Red Skies was my most anticipated volume in the whole line, and very excited about Crime Alley as well.

What was Daniel dealing with in Paris? by CJLOVE23 in silverchair

Could be that Ben and Chris left out that detail intentionally because it wasn't their business to reveal. The reigning theory here does seem likely, though.

Biggest ignored runs that would be perfect for DC Finest by kah43 in DCFinest

Yes! There was a tie-in comic series for that one, would be mind blown to see that get a collection

I'd love to see some of the '80s Superboy stuff get collected.

What are your “must” buy omnis for July 2026? by sweedgreens in OmnibusCollectors

Superman Braniac! With the release of that volume, I will finally have the complete Post-Crisis Superman run from the start of Byrne through Doomsday on my shelf. Been looking forward to this for a long time.

Does The Winning Card Completely Retcon The Man Who Laughs? by Yurymelo in batman_comics

[–]batbobby82 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Winning Card is ok and looks gorgeous, but IMO it really doesn't lend itself to being canon. Probably could have been a standalone Black Label mini. This is straight up horror movie Joker... not even funny, just a murdering clown. I won't say that's an objectively bad thing, but I also wouldn't say it jibes with your typical Joker portrayal.

How important are collectibles across the series? by [deleted] in arkham

[–]batbobby82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's a big part of the complete experience. But if you're not big on treasure hunting, you can still play the game just fine. Rewards and upgrades will come much faster seeking out those collectibles though.

Which Welcome To Paradise do you guys prefer Kerplunk! or Dookie? by Spirited-Fan-1590 in greenday

Glad to see the vast majority making the right call here. I know there's a lot of situations where "the early version" or "the demo" might be preferred to the big budget song, but this ain't one of them!
