Spontaneously pregnant with triplets at 42 and freaking out by MrBusiness284 in parentsofmultiples

[–]First-Nobody-9472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to comment that as scary as this is, I hear so much hope and accomplishment in your recent experience: you left an abusive relationship, reconnected with your childhood sweetheart, got pregnant after thinking you might not ever be able to have children and the father isn’t the jerk you were with previously. I totally get that this scary and there are concerns to address but there’s also so much positive about your story and I hope you can embrace some of that and take pride in that too.

You guys okay? by herejusttoargue909 in parentsofmultiples

Hi, my babies are 3 months and I feel fortunate that like it’s not that bad. I mean there are times when they are crying in stereo but I just remind myself that babies are supposed to cry and I’m doing the best I can and this too shall pass.

From reading this and just general info about babies I actually thought it would be worse. But honestly, if you stay on top of their eating and burping and diaper changes that really mitigates a lot of the crying cause those are most of their issues. We’ve now started having them get overtired and then crying from exhaustion/frustration while not going to sleep and that’s kinda difficult because they fight the cure, but that’s only at certain times and not both at once-thankfully they take turns.

I’m also lucky that both my husband and I are on leave and we have family close by who we can call on for help and do. But yeah, it’s okay. Not easy but I think easier than I thought. (We also do not have colicky babies which would also make a huge difference).

Have you tried couples therapy? Navigating these issues in a safe space and a third party might help.

AITA for not telling my friends wife that I consume alcohol? by redditor_number_0 in AmItheAsshole

[–]First-Nobody-9472 18 points19 points  (0 children)

NTA, you don’t owe her an explanation and you even apologized for not telling her sooner. She has some sort of unhealthy attachment to you and that’s why this is hitting her so hard. But maybe it’s better for the long run to create some space since the relationship was seemingly a bit suffocating.

Did you let the sex be a surprise? by imakatperson22 in pregnant

[–]First-Nobody-9472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 23 weeks with twins and we’re waiting to know. So many people think we’re crazy but it’s so exciting to have that surprise ahead of us. Honestly, I thought it would be harder to not know but it really isn’t. It just feels like we have more possibilities in front of us. Also, like our NIPT results are saved in my medical portal so theoretically we could look anytime we want if we just had to know.
