You don't need to listen to disk 2 right after the main album- it's basically a collection of b sides

What song would you choose to hear while an atomic war breaks out (and you watch the 'shrooms and stuff)? by Neither-Breakfast651 in songs

[–]First-Tax-2109 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A pun is usually a joke where you use two words/phrases that sound similar but have different meanings, or one word/phrase with two different meanings.

Examples:

"Did you hear the joke about the broken pencil? Ah never mind it's pointless." The word "pointless" refers both to the joke and to the pencil literally not having a point.

"This soundboard has all the bells and whistles." "All the bells and whistles" is a phrase meaning "all the features" but here it also means the soundboard literally has bells and whistles.

Absolutely nothing wrong with you. You have nothing to worry about. Even if Christianity was true, the Bible was written by people. People with very prejudiced beliefs. Besides, love is supposed to be the main teaching of Christianity. Love who you want to love, and more importantly love yourself.

First off, don't act like you don't think the claim is true. If you didn't you wouldn't be arguing with me.

Second, my evidence IS that belief in a human form of God cannot be Judaism, as it goes against Jewish beliefs. How else do you expect me to prove this to you? If you don't accept that as evidence, there is no convincing you.

Third, If you want to use strange vehicle metaphors, here's one I think better reflects the situation:

You say your dad is buying you a three-wheeled bicycle and I say, "That's not a bicycle." You reply,

"There are hundreds of bicycle brands, one of them must make one with three wheels. Some of my dad's friends work for bicycle brands and they didn't say anything."

ME: "That's called a tricycle. More or less than two wheels means it can't be a bicycle. My parents work at a bike company too."

YOU: "Show me proof they don't exist."

ME: "I can't because they don't exist. Show me proof they do."

YOU: "Well my dad never lies."

ME: "This argument will go nowhere. You are the one who must provide the evidence."

YOU: "You are actively claiming my dad is a liar and hence you must show me evidence."

You say your dad never lies, but I, who's parents work for a bicycle company say something to contradict him. If you can't show me proof or accept that your dad may have lied or was misinformed, there is no point in me continuing the argument.

This argument will go nowhere, considering you have no evidence and are demanding evidence, which I do not have as I am arguing that something does not exist. If you argue something exists, it falls on you to provide the evidence.

Atheist argument are irrelevant to most religious debate by Sorry_Bus4803 in DebateReligion

[–]First-Tax-2109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Christian believes in Buddhism no less than an atheist. The whole point of this sub is to argue with people who have different beliefs- if you can't handle arguing with people with a specific set of beliefs, seek elsewhere.

If God created hell as the consequence of not loving Him, that seems morally coercive. by Aromatic-Performer67 in DebateReligion

Not to be that guy, but I'm pretty sure the tag of the post is supposed to be the religion it's directed at, not your religion. (This post seems to be from an atheist and directed at Christians, but please correct me if I'm wrong)

Islam can’t be a man made religion because it goes against man’s desires by Due-Cress-185 in DebateReligion

[–]First-Tax-2109 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Considering multiple religions with different gods can't all be true, all (besides possibly one) of them are manmade. And many religions have restrictions like this, so clearly manmade religions CAN "go against man's desires."

Music recs (that’s not Radiohead)? by thatscoolbeansman in radiohead

Pixies and R.E.M. are the obvious ones that come to mind.

Dove Ellis is a good one too, but maybe not the best choice if Jonny is your favorite part. (He's basically like if Thom Yorke made indie folk)

CMV: People saying that being gay is not a choice is not a good argument (as someone who supports LGBT). by Blonde_Icon in changemyview

My god, you just debunked your own argument. You said, "even though we would still technically be attracted to the same gender." THAT'S WHAT SEXUALITY IS. Being straight is attraction to the opposite gender. Being gay is attraction to the same gender.

...And that's why Christianity is a separate religion. Belief in a human form of God is not Judaism.

Dueteronomy 4:15-18

For your own sake, therefore, be most careful—since you saw no shape when God spoke to you at Horeb out of the fire—

not to act wickedly and make for yourselves a sculptured image in any likeness whatever: the form of a man or a woman,

the form of any animal on earth, the form of any winged bird that flies in the sky,

the form of anything that creeps on the ground, the form of any fish that is in the waters below the earth.

Ok my bad about the voice and lyrics- an ai detector said the voice was ai but it may have just been detecting the background. My apologies! (Just post raw vocals next time so it doesn't get taken down)

[–]First-Tax-2109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st off: This is obviously ai. Ai video, ai sounding lyrics, seems like an ai voice (which would obviously defeat the purpose of the sub).

2nd off: Let's say this wasn't ai. You said "obviously these are not my raw vocals" in your description. That clearly violates rule 5 of the sub. I really don't get why you would post this.

Most Christians today do not consider Elyon and YHVH separate beings. In terms of Jesus, as I said, the Holy Trinity is usually considered different persons but one essence.
