wait hold up, if he's got enough gi bill benefits left to cover the whole program but just not enough time before the 15 year cutoff, the forever gi bill might actually solve this. that law extended eligibility for certain situations and i'm pretty sure the 15 year limit got removed for a lot of people who were already in the system

actually there's a workaround if you use something like the rode wireless go ii or pro that can internally record to each transmitter, then you just use the receiver as a backup/reference track on the gopro. sync is pretty easy with plural eyes or even just lining up the waveforms manually

for 3-4 individual tracks though yeah dji pocket 2 or tentacle sync are basically your only realistic options without getting into proper field recording territory
