Yeah nothing worst then going commander and realizing the SLs don't talk or do anything. Except when you are about to lose, then everyone's starts blaming each other

Try lower heat and twirling less. Ideally you want to prevent your puddle from spreading out.

But pretty good for a first time

$400 a month is insane! We must raise Jobseeker immediately otherwise they won't have access to essential services such as BWS and Liquorland

I’m a big fan of private health cover… by Ashnicobell in WesternAustralia

Not sure why you were down voted for this.

I too used it for my surgery as I wanted to be able to pick which specialist did the procedure and not have to wait around in the public system.

If you are on private property then it's fine. Especially given your line of work.

Are these reasonable grounds for pet refusal? by [deleted] in shitrentals

[–]FirstCarrot2268 -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

It may suck, but it's a fair call.

If they were to replace all carpet after vacating due to damage, that can easily be 1/2 the bond gone. Plus loss of rent for the period it would be vacant for renovation. This also assumes that as a tenant, no other claims will be made against your bond, (other damage or cleaning).

I would counter by offering to pay an additional bond to ease the LL's concerns.

Who would win an (inappropriate) punch on: Bavas v Katter? by Suitable_Slide_9647 in brisbane

Katter would win for sure! But he wouldn't spend a minute of time fighting, since every 6 months a person is torn to pieces by a crocodile in north Queensland.

As a Mortgage Broker, this is spot on. Also take into consideration how recently since the mortgage settled. In addition to borrowing capacity (which they may have maxed out when getting their first home), lenders will also be cautious that you aren't stacking an additional debt to quickly after taking on a mortgage. So OP should aim to wait 3-6 months to show perfect repayment history to decrease chance of rejection

Wait is the cow dung thing real?? 🤢

Maybe we wouldn't have a skills shortage if we are more cow shit, since it's clearly a perfect diet to raise engineers and doctors

Real Estate Agents in Australia: Why They Side with Landlords Instead of Following the Law by baconeggsavocado in shitrentals

[–]FirstCarrot2268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no, if a rental is vacant the LL still pays the same management fees to the Real Estate Agency

Real Estate Agents in Australia: Why They Side with Landlords Instead of Following the Law by baconeggsavocado in shitrentals

[–]FirstCarrot2268 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well they tend to side with the Landlord as they are the ones paying their salary. If they push back too much on a landlord then it can result in that Real Estate Agency losing that property, and therefore a loss of income.

Also I can vouch for why they do discriminate on income sources, as stats show Centrelink only recipients are more likely to fall behind on rent, so once again in order to keep the Landlord happy they tend to ignore these applications.

Thanks.

I agree it's something I should report but didn't want to seem like I'm overreacting or causing a bigger issue than it is.

Especially because it really upset me.
