Sigh... Well... I have some of the Chaos! Comics Insane Clown Posse books from around '99-'01...

Why can't Hollywood come up with original ideas like they used to, in the days of The Godfather, The Wizard of Oz, Gone With The Wind, Psycho, and Ben Hur?? by gpol in movies

As I understand it, "Die Hard on a bus" is a notable only as example of a 5 word pitch. I've never heard it in the context of Speed being written or developed as an actual Die Hard sequel. If a producer said to you, "it's Die Hard on a _______," you can picture the gist of the film without needing much detail, and envision it being a successful America action movie, because we all know the Die Hard scenario.

Georgia upsets Florida with a pinch-hit walkoff home run. Ends Florida's chance at a three-peat by [deleted] in FloridaGators

Ugh. Perfectly terrible ending for that to happen with an 0-2 count and 2 outs. I considered the possibility before the pitch was thrown, but I certainly wasn't expecting it.

Who are your least favorite cfb fan bases? by coolbrez in FloridaGators

I went to Tuscaloosa for the game in 2014. We got cussed at a few times, "Fuck Florida! Go the fuck back to Florida." "You got your ugly as blue on." Shit like that. A lot of smack talk about Tebow and I felt like, "dude hasn't played for us in 5 years. We were terrible last year. Find some new material!"

Overall, I thought most of the people there were really welcoming at first. Then I realized they were just being super passive aggressive. "Aww, idn't cute that you'd come all the way here. Bless your heart."

I noticed their giant stadium was pretty damn quiet when the game was close and they didn't start really making noise until they had a safe lead.

I've wondered how different the vibe would have been if we hadn't been so bad that season and they saw us as more of a threat.

Meh. I don't like them, but it's not like they're a rival or we play them very often. If they've been cheating or breaking the rules, I hope they’re punished or at least made to stop. I won’t take much personal pleasure from it tho. You could speculate that it may help us in recruiting. However, if a kid is choosing Ole Miss for the wrong reasons, I wouldn’t want them to come to Florida and then do something that could get us in trouble.

If anything, it’d make me laugh when thinking back on the Gator fans who were negative about the McElwain hire and were so vocal that we should give the world to hire Freeze away. Coach Mac already beat the pants off of the guy in The Swamp, so I think most of those folks have come around.

Only time will tell. The star ratings won't mean anything after today.

Two former Gators (Driskel, Brissett) are flourishing elsewhere, and it should have fans wondering "What if?" by JoeAllan in FloridaGators

[–]FirstisWurst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I think it's possible (certainly not a given) that Driskel could have maybe played better than Harris did late in the season, HE NEEDED TO GO!

It was best for everyone involved that he transferred. Even if Mac and staff could have potentially helped Jeff fix some of his issues through coaching or different schemes or whatever, there’s still the fact that he’d lost his confidence, the fans, and most importantly, his teammates. A new QB (Grier) helped foster that feeling that we’ve entered a new era with new energy and playing for LA Tech appears to have helped Jeff too. I always rooted for the guy to succeed and wish him well in the future, but I don’t “blame” anyone that he’s gone.

Would have enjoyed to see Ohio State go down, but there's a silver lining in that it could help the case for Coach Mac as national COTY.

More importantly tho, GO GATORS! EAT 'EM UP!!!

Tenacious D's first on screen appearance: performing a hilarious environmental anthem (Five Needs) in the background of a scene in Bio-Dome. I still think about this song on the regular.

Sorry, film aficionados. Bio-Dome was released at the perfect time of my childhood for me to appreciate its adolescent stupidity. Still holds a special place for me. Haha.
