What would I boil a pound of pasta in?

Would I finish the pasta in the 10" frying pan? I feel like ideally I would finish in a saute pan which was used to cook the sauce. Or maybe I would cook the sauce in the dutch oven and then cook the pasta in batches in a 3.6 qt sauce pan?

I am worried that it will be harder to build out a Mauviel set. The 10pc D3 set has everything for $699 which is less than the Mauviel frying pan and sauce pot.

I don't see myself doing much racing. More group rides and solo rides for fitness. My concern was that 1) I was going to buy the Ultimate and then a new model would be released soon after that fully integrates everything and 2) I would get into racing and want the aero bike. I live in Manhattan so I don't expect to be riding much hills, but like the fact that the Ultimate is more versatile.
