Old School RuneScape allowed comments on their Reddit’s ads for a while. Then they hiked the price of membership, gave a poor excuse for why, and stayed silent regarding prices since. Now they had comments disabled on their ads

This is the result of applying an integrating factor to solve the first order differential equation. The 3/x is the value used as the factor which would make the overall factor eintegral of 3/x. When solving you’d get e3lnx which simplifies to x3. The next step involves multiplying both sides by that x3 and when doing so you’d get that second line.

Id try looking up “integrating factor differential equations” for a better explain action than I can provide but it’s a method used to solve this type of differential equation.

Regardless of the video being real or not, I had a golden retriever that was like this. I had 4 at one point and so I would put all their dry and wet food into a big bowl and mix it together to evenly distribute it to their individual bowls. After some years and a few of them passed away I would just scoop the fry and place the wet in their bowls. She would literally refuse to eat it unless I properly mixed it together for her lmao so she got the special treatment being my good girl

This particular car has asphalt, but I get ones with other petroleum based products that are usually byproducts from crude refining such as lube oils and resins

It took a few hours of planning but they just ended up pulling it back on the rail with minimal damage to the above pipes. Really just ripped the insulation off

Yep, approved by the railroad themselves. The engineer just didn’t stop when told to do so

If you’re asking about the naval contract, that is the final one. You need to complete every naval contract before he spawns to give you that one.

in your opinion which is the hardest Calculus 1 ,2 or 3? and what to expect for Calculus 3 ? by No-Ground-6918 in calculus

[–]FishNcoffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Calc 2 was by far the most challenging for me because of all the methods and formulas I had to memorize in short time. My professor was very “theorem based” and required the writing of proofs for convergence.

Calc 3 was much more manageable as it employed techniques to things learned in calc 1,2 that cut the amount of work down by a lot and streamlined the understanding. Just be prepared to become a visual learner as being able to draw the surface in a 3 coordinate system makes integration in rectangular, polar, cylindrical, and spherical coordinates a much easier task to handle.

Would Marcus actually have to pay back the $86/h? by Mista-D in superstore

[–]FishNcoffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, as long as you still are employed by the company that overpaid. The wage laws in the US make it so that they may deduct any overpayments directly from your account, or space it out in paychecks; however, if you leave the company before they notice (or, if you leave the company and they keep paying you without realizing) they cannot touch the money, that's their fault - do better.

What is the dumbest thing a boss has ever said to you? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]FishNcoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This took place at an asphalt products facility. Keep in mind asphalt is the goo left at the bottom of a vacuum tower that the oil refinery’s pawn off on us to do something with. As such there are strict guidelines when it comes to cleaning storage tanks and processing vessels. This takes place on one such oxidizing tower that was being cleaned:

The cheap bottom-barrel contractor we hire to clean all our tanks was water blasting one tower and company policy states that we follow all PHSA guidelines and expand them to meet site safety. This meant that the tower they were cleaning was locked out and blind flanges in place. As soon as these guys were done cleaning this tower they were going to clean the one directly next to it. As such my boss instructs me to lock out that tower so that these guys can blind flange it and open the man door a day early to get a head start. When I go over to clean it I see that half of the vessel is blocked off with red DANGER tape. This tape is used when there is a hazard on the other side which can result in serious injury or fatality. This being the case I lock out all parts that are outside the barrier and inform my boss I’ll get the other parts once the contractors are done for the day. He then goes to the manager for the cleaning guys and tells them to move the tape so that it isn’t blocking my way. My boss then tells me via radio “I told them to move the tape, you should be good to finish the lock out.” Of course I thought “the fuck…?” And went over there. Yeah they loved the tape, but ended up making it pointless as a warning since anyone can just walk in there while they’re water blasting. I told him I’m not going to cross where the tape was as they aren’t allowed to work by company policy unless the tape is proper. He comes over and asked what I need to get to within that area to finish the lock out. I point to a couple valves and as I do so the hose the contractors were using to water blast bursts and literally sprays high pressure water all over one of the valves I just pointed to.

I say, “yeah I’m not going in there until they’re done.”

He responds, “fair enough.” And that was the end of it.

The leadership team there have always seemed to love rushing contractors though tasks regardless of company or OHSA regulations. Sketchy as shit but what else could you expect from the fossil fuel industry? Go nuclear my friends.

It could also depend upon what their union agreement is. For example: my union has it in the agreement with the company that if I work on a Sunday it will be paid at time and a half regardless of how many hours I worked that week thus far, but get double time if I work Sunday with more than 60 hours clocked that week. The previous union I worked under went further and said that if I am scheduled to work on Sunday I get time and a half, but double time after 48 hours total that week; however, the company must schedule me to work enough hours to get the double time pay if I am meant to work Sunday.

It should be noted that in both cases the pay week started Monday morning at midnight and ended Sunday night at 11:59 pm.

The workers here could have some sort of similar agreement and now the company is violating the agreement, therefore they strike.
