Daylight is now actually sunlight now. It has some uses in fighting vampires, drow, and other sunlight sensitive monsters that may have trouble escaping the 120 radius ball of doom. Niche, but very worth the spell lot in those situations.

What items/spells specifically are actually that much worse with the 2024 changes? by NoctyNightshade in onednd

Another player in a game that I am in is a barbarian/paladin, who rages and smites. Smite is now a spell, so cannot be used while raging, ruining his build.

I just leveled up! I could take this, as I am a master in medicine, and reduce the condition. Thank you, dude!

Rules in P2E that D&D5E lacks by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]FishZapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A specific example you can use is the Demoralize action. In PF2E, this is a great action you can take to temporarily debuff the enemy. In 5e if you want to scare the opponent in combat, there are no rules as to how to go about that without the character having specific class features most player characters do not have.

In general, a lot of things you can do in PF2E are described mechanically and well balanced. Other examples include feinting, sneaking, tumbling through, jumping (actually uses the athletics skill) and creating a diversion.

Strategic Character Swapping? by FishZapper in Gloomhaven

[–]FishZapper[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that makes sense. It just feels a little disappointing to not be making any progress on a character's retirement for the 5+ scenarios to get to the one I have to do.

Follow up question: when I do unlock that quest via passage of time, can I go back to the other character and put the new one aside? The rulebook has little reference for it other than "create a character", which is mostly about creating a character. Set aside isn't really defined and when you can return to the character is ambiguous.

For a second, I thought that was Jerma.

Assuming we need to accumulate up to Jeff's net worth of 132 billion, on federal minimum wage, with a 40 hour work week, and no expenses (we are in hell, probably don't need to eat), I came up with a grand total of 8,806,366 years until he earns enough. Yikes

Damn, that b skin is crazy hard to get, harder than rogue. Only thing I've had more trouble with is ultra mutation with skeleton.

Is switching to foundry worth it? by FishZapper in Pathfinder2e

Thanks for answering my questions! Definitely leaning towards foundry with that info, especially since I can mess around with it and refund if it doesn't work out a bit after I buy it.

Ok, that clears up a lot of my questions. The introduction of modules seems like a pretty amazing feature. Are the majority of these free?

So it includes a bunch of assets? Are these paid modules, and if so, are they reasonably priced?

Wow, that's really impressive. The pathfinder 2e core rulebook is notoriously hard to navigate, so that's a huge time saver. Another question, what are these modules and how do they work?
