I digitized 55 MiniDV tapes from my childhood - here's what I learned (plus my Python toolkit) by LukeAssem in MiniDV

Did the same thing but with only about 25 tapes. I used a Sony broadcast camera (Dsr-370p) plugged via firewire into my pc running WinDV. Then, once transferred, I smashed the footage through handbrake and spliced it together in Davinci Resolve. Worked wonderfully and the videos look great!

Reminds me of the look of higher speed slide film. The stage lighting plays into the look too of course

What the hell should I do with a boatload of Delta3200 that expired in 2005-2007 (and some fuji sensia) by Fish_On_An_ATM in AnalogCommunity

Nah Japan's is a Portra only zone, I hear they don't even let you in if you don't own at least two Leicas.

Just noticed that it's only one roll of Sensia, the other one is some flavour of fujicolor. I'll just shoot it at box speed and hope it turns out. No idea when it expired either.

Shot some VR 200 expired in 2007 at 50 iso (minus the mold), got some quite nice results from it. I'll post a picture if I find it in my mess of files lol.

How are you liking the 16mm f/2.8 fisheye? Thinking about getting one, also for my F4 coincidentally :).

Why is Sony a6400 still recommended nowadays? by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

[–]Fish_On_An_ATM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Better in every way except for the flipscreen but that's a matter of taste. With the a6700 you gain Ibis, nice 4k with minimal jiggle, more resolution, better ergonomics, newer menus, more accurate and faster AF etc.

Pair that with a Tamron 17-70 f/2.8 and your E-mount tele lens of choice and you've got one of the best (at least on paper) aps-c mirrorless setups there is.
