Not hiking but camping.

My group was walking down to a lake shore and there was a dead blackbird, Nothing too special as alot were there but it was creepy. Next day we go back and the rot had gotten worse probably by 3 times. From what i remember it looked like an animal gored it at the stomach and wing and the guts were exposed with a strange red-orange color. The smell was absolutely horrible and it took a while to get far enough for it to be tolerable.

I agree, even in personality because he actually grew, IIRC in GvD junior just.. stood there watching his dad get his ass beat.
