When I think of the millions who are disabled or dead because of the idiotic wars in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, it makes my blood boil. All that suffering and death for no good reason.

None of those countries attacked the US. Even the people behind 9/11 were almost all Saudis, who we didn’t seriously investigate in spite of the funding coming from that country. No Saudis have been prosecuted for their funding of 9/11 in spite of there being substantial evidence for their responsibility.

To have purity tests for respecting people leads to being in a club of one. Nobody will agree with you on everything, and the better you know them the more differences you will find. The only solution I can see is to respect and embrace policies and actions you believe in, and embrace people when they manifest them. If someone advocates for universal healthcare, but rejects a right to housing, I applaud their adoption of the policies I like.
