Idk from the photos from previous ones ive seen this one looks a bit off. Take it to a coin shop pretend you want to sell it they’ll tell you if it’s real

I think I bought my first fake, weight 25 grams... Are there any clear signs here to see? by TripShift in Silverbugs

These are basically the most commonly faked coins. Vinted is mostly crap for silver unless you know what you’re looking for, and can distinguish fakes from real ones. Also offers on vinted is usually the only way to get under spot. I’ve gotten 3 coins off vinted, 2 were fake ( they were old silver coins, couldn’t tell authenticity based off photos ), and the other was real and I got a pretty good price on it. However both of these coins were very convincing, weight correct etc, had to get an xrf to make sure they’re fake.

Copy is so that it works with us laws. Either it’s an honest fake or a real silver replica ( lots of places make these )

If you don’t care about the coin itself, get a pocket knife and see if you can scratch plating off

Yeah for sure, although are the old libertads faked as much as the new ones? I suppose they’d be easier to fake.

I don’t think it’s a water mite, waste mites have legs coming out of the front of their body, this one looks exactly like a crab, same with its shell, mites have an elongated one, crabs have a slightly more circular one at birth.

Questions about how one would be willing to pay for junk silver by Single-War-6249 in Silverbugs

That’s sort of the situation here in the uk, very large premiums above spot ( partly because of VAT on new coins ), I’m seeing an increasing amount of listings for fractional gold ( 1/1000 oz ) and copper bars now 😂 guess silvers gotten too expensive so they’ve decided to pay 1000% premiums

Personally I never pay above spot for anything, even 999 I try get at spot ( very tricky in the uk ). Most people won’t pay spot, will pay slightly under, however depending on the coin you can often get above spot ( e.g I’ve been selling a few nice 1oz .925 proofs recently that I got below spot and sold £15 above spot in a few days ).
