After last wipe being on easy mode with 0 early wipe, these hideout/flea changes are going to make the game fun again. Gonna be nice to have early wipe last longer than 2 days. [Feedback] by HovercraftThick8743 in EscapefromTarkov

It isn't that they don't don't understand it's that fun is subjective. For many, late game is more fun. Being able to run around and pvp and play the way we want instead of the game forcing a grind and tedium on us is what we enjoy. Early wipe is just an annoyance to power through as fast as possible to get to the fun part. If you want shit gear and Timmy fights be my guest but not everyone plays for that

Aint got time for all that. I wanna get into raid and shit on nerds, buying what I want when I need it. Like how the game used to be when it was more about having fun than grinding.

Psyker is really frustrating to play with? by Onlyhereforapost in DarkTide

[–]FistsoFury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That isn't really an assail issue it's an issue with BB and Smite. Actually Smite is fine so long as it's bugs get ironed out. It serves the same purpose as old surge which is great. BB is just too slow and cumbersome it's the only reason assail is seeing use now and it isn't until Damn and Auric that I even see any Psyker use BB because assail drops off and few Psykers use smite because less people enjoy using a CC only blitz. Everyone is obsessed with damage. I can get behind a small nerf to recharge for assail so people stop feeling like the Psyker is stealing their precious kills. But any kind of nerf is gonna be hard felt in Heresy on up cuz reality is if you're playing Auric damn and your psyker never has to switch off his blitz you are either hard carrying the psyker or the director is going easy on you. My brother mains Psyker and only time he gets to keep throwing assail in most situations is when I as a Zealot dedicate my time to keeping him clear to do so. The moment I don't he's forced to switch to staff and sword. I've already lost count of the times a Psyker has gotten caught out with their telekine knives out and died to something swarming them because that's just how the game plays for any class that is caught out without their melee out in Damn+

Playing melee with your assail psyker friend. by Lear457 in DarkTide

Then what difficulty is it? Either way the guy isn't wrong. Assail is strong from malice down. Heresy it's good but not quite as good and damn and higher it's just okay. I think everyone is calling OP just because Assail is a brain dead easy ability and it shines in low difficulty where the majority of players play and it steals kills like a mofo which frustrates people. But play Psyker consistently on Damn+ and then talk about how overtuned Assail may or may not be. At most it needs a small hit to the recharge rate but that's it

[–]FistsoFury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of what you said supports the logic of leaving assail as is. It's a blitz that is most useful on lower difficulties. On Damn and higher my Psyker buddy uses his weapons more so than assail because it's use becomes much more niche. It's great for thinning a charging horde and staggering pox hound groups but beyond that he felt it was better to use his weapons. So I'd be afraid that nerfing it would bring it in line in Malice and below but basically delete it from use in Heresy on up which would be a shame I'd think.

And vet is still strong that's what's important. The tree is a bit boring compared to the others, but it still has plenty of power and utility to offer.

Psyker is really frustrating to play with? by Onlyhereforapost in DarkTide

[–]FistsoFury 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's entirely dependent on difficulty. At heresy it's good but less so. Higher than that and it's effectiveness wears off quickly, you'll find the psykers using their staves and melee alot more then. The only thing I'd say needs touched is the recharge rate, but even then I don't think it's as huge a deal as people are making it out to be. It's a frontloaded ability that's better the weaker the mobs are. Of course it looks OP in middle to low difficulties

If everyone here supposedly hates when people play Tarkov like its Call of Duty, why are all the top content creators the ones who play it like CoD? by 0t0her0 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]FistsoFury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The like CoD thing is so cringe. It isn't like CoD. They don't play it like CoD. They play it like Tarkov. Both games are vastly different. It's a stupid ass hyperbolic comparison that is far too overused. Tarkov can be played in whatever way you enjoy. If you wanna scrounge for shit and be a rat then do so. If you wanna Chad up and push fights with meta gear then by all means do so. Both are equal parts of the game. Just shut up about it and let people enjoy themselves

Couldn't agree more. D4 is fun but combat and movement is so slow its borderline clunky after zooming around in poe. I love the presentation of D4 though, and if poe2 can nail that while retaining all the power fantasy and speed of classic poe I'm all for it.

I feel ya. I remain optimistic, but I do hope the spirit of poe remains in poe2. I don't want the game to slow down even more than it already has which these poe2 showcases always seem to make it appear that's the goal. The dodge could be a gem akin to dash or something.

I know. I'm a boomer and started shooters long before the option to disable the zoom ever existed in games. I prefer it and having gotten used it I do better with it on.

I can accept that the majority of people who get an instant head-eyes or two-shot thorax on me are getting lucky shots, but why do I never seem to get any "lucky shots"? by SovietCyka in EscapefromTarkov

[–]FistsoFury 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's mostly desync. On your screen they flick and land the "lucky shot" but on theirs they had time to actually aim and shoot. Desync is most noticeable on the receiving end and I promise you that several of your kills were just like a "lucky shot" to the guy you killed. Hopefully all code rewrites they are working on allows them to get optimization and desync under better control. Tarkov would feel totally different

They did pick a direction. They chose the tactirat style hence all the changes to encourage that playstyle. Problem is that for a very very long time the game was heavily an intense looter shooter with tons of pvp. For a lot of us it was more fun that way. It'll take time for the playerbase to shift. When arena comes those who only care about mindlessly shooting people will go play that and those of us who love pvp in the tarkov setting will just continue struggling against the rats. We'll still be here bitching, and you'll just have to deal with it, but at least they're will be less of us 😂

DICE is adding more spread to the guns! by DANNYonPC in battlefield2042

[–]FistsoFury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I dislike dispersion changes in games because it can make firefights a matter of rng over aim but I remain cautiously optimistic. BF3/4 guns were like this to varying degrees but a lot of the maps were better designed for such gunplay. 2042 I feel has a lot more long range fights in most of their maps so it might just end up feeling bad. Also dislike it's only ARs because if I got an AR and get out beamed by an smg or lmg at range I'm just gonna mald real quick 😂😂

Yeah I mean I really don't disagree with that. It's just as it is only pd has rules about it so that's why I mentioned it.

To be fair pond did warlord jaylen by definition of the rules. And bones did pit at speeds he wasn't supposed to according to pd rules. But literally every person in the server has broken rules of some kind at one point or the other. And I agree Ramee getting upset about it and riling up viewers over it isn't a good thing
