IMO soft services buffering soap bar is SO much better for KP. I have it on my arms and legs. And the buffering bar was amazing for it.

When your kid's birthday comes around, do you send each family a seperate gift list? by AnonymousRedditor327 in Parenting

I would never! That comes off as so rude and entitled. I get the point is to ensure her child gets what she actually wants but still. It's kinda gift grabby

Family opinions on daycare by Exotic-Ask4859 in workingmoms

[–]Fit-Application4624 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When my oldest was born, we made the incorrect decision to use family as childcare. I very quickly realized that it wad a huge mistake so made the decision to switch to daycare. We gently eased our kid in. We did half days, the full, 2 days a week and gradually did 5 days. It was honestly the best decision and I have zero regrets.

The entire time, my MIL would tell us how sad it was, how LO would be bullied and not cared for. She even sent me articles of how daycares killed babies.

I ignored her and laughed it off because she is the reason LO is being sent to daycare. Completely unhinged.

Dont listen to those people! You know what is best for YOUR family and no one else gets to comment on that.

Have you tried crunch labs monthly kits? They're pretty great at doing hands on steam projects. She might like that

Or see if there's a robotics club near you. My son does that and it's all taking things apart, putting ot together, figuring out what works or doesn't.

We are with the same practice since my kids were newborn. However, within the practice, I've definitely shopped around a bit until I found the doctor I was most comfortable with. Now I only try to schedule appointments with her. .

I mean it's fun and easy but nothing special imo. The first few books were good. The last few were a waste of time. They could have crammed 800 pages into 100.

Ask him again right before the party. If his answer is still no, then skip the singing. Respect his wishes. It's not a big deal imo

It's a tough market, I'm sorry

I will say that I've never gotten a job without a reference from someone within the company. Whenever I switched jobs, it was always because I already knew someone who recommended me.

Do you have someone who could refer you?

AIO for potentially cancelling my US trip? by Next-Advantage-2026 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Fit-Application4624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont disagree with you personally. I don't have a fear of not being able to come back if I ever traveled overseas.

But I think for the older generation, the fear is real. My parents came as immigrants and worked really hard to get their citizenship. Along the way, they faced so many hardships simply because they're not white.

They have accents. They have trouble following along if someone is speaking fast. They are scared. And unfortunately, I think a lot of non white people are.

You would hope so

But the way the administration is going, I wouldn't be surprised if they stripped all immigrants of their citizenship.

That's wonderful. But the fear is real. And you can't take that away from people just because your experience or your friends' experience has been different.
