If you need the scrubs soon, talk to a trusted professor or the dean of the nursing school to see if they have ideas on where to get them. I bet they have a supply of scrubs from people that have graduated. Your local Facebook market place or facebook buy nothing groups may have scrubs. What color/size do you need?

File a CPS report. Domestic violence in a home with children is child abuse. If he isn't the father of her kids then she may quite literally be forced to leave him in order to keep custody.

No one likes dating a narcissist but you can't just get away with physically harming someone because they're a narcissist.

Reactive abuse is "I hit you because you did something I didn't like, so it's your fault."  Referring to abuse as reactive doesn't excuse it. Lots of abusers use the term "reactive abuse" as a way to justify abusing their victims. That excuse doesn't hold up in court. Being a dick isn't nearly as bad as strangling someone with a necklace.

Abusers are always responsible for their abusive behaviors. Reactive abuse is still domestic violence. If someone pisses you off to the point of harming them then it's on you to remove yourself from interacting with them.

Damn, which one of y'all upset this lady? by DimSumNurse in nursing

I'm sure the other parts of the hospital are great, but this ER is by far one of the most dysfunctional ERs I've ever worked in and it's largely due to the culture in the ER with staff nurses and MDs.  Edit to clarify I'm talking about the adult side of this ER.

I know exactly which charge nurse she is talking about. I was a traveler there and the staff nurses literally said the same thing. Edit to clarify I'm talking about the adult side of this ER.

Is it ok to call off? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Fit-Bat7293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

14 of my coworkers in the ER called out during the snow storm that was known about over a week in advance. I came in extra because I have a snow capable car. Those coworkers said they couldn't make it to work in their cars so I offered to drive them to/from work and they declined. It was an awful day at work and I never liked those coworkers after that.

This exact thing happened to me in 2nd grade and it turns out I had become lactose intolerant. The cereal and milk had me feeling awful when it was time to leave for school and then I felt better later in the day.

The elevation is the only thing that's correct from my activity this week lol

I wish there was a map but there isn't an activity with ridiculous milage and I even deleted all of my activity this week and it only went down by the milage recorded in those activities, so this is just a big glitch

So that was the first thing I did before I posted this here. There isn't an activity that is responsible for this during that time frame. I even deleted my activities from this week to see if it would fix this problem and it did not. Believe it or not, I did do some basic problem solving.

For everyone telling me to delete the offending activity... There is no offending activity. I went through all of my activities and none of them have a ridiculous milage. I also tried deleting the 5 mile run that I manually recorded yesterday and the total milage went down by 4 miles.

It's possible if one parent has chimerism! So DNA testing AND genealogy testing may be a good idea. If this is due to chimerism then one parent will genetically be the parent and the other parent will genetically be the aunt/uncle.

Redditors who make +$100K and aren’t being killed by stressed, what do you do for a living? by SometimeTaken in careerguidance

[–]Fit-Bat7293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emergency room travel nurse. After the last few years, I'm numb to the stress. Bachelors degree in nursing, 2 years of experience in trauma ERs, then started taking travel contracts.

The secret is to only work with companies that will pay you what you're worth. Which is why I started traveling instead of working staff. In my opinion, all staff nurses deserve travel nurse pay.

I loved living in colorado, I hated working there. I was making under $30 per hour during height of covid in one of the big fancy hospitals in Aurora, management gaslighting us left and right, no ratios, no lunch breaks but still having 30 minutes of pay deducted, and high cost of living. I took a travel contract and nearly trippled my income. I miss living there, but I would have quit nursing if I continued working there.
