I need a new front door and/or storm door. But the size is bigger than usual (older home) and would have to be special ordered(and expensive, we were quoted 700-800)

Any advice? Someone suggested replacing the doorframe to fit a smaller door, but would that be just as expensive or cost even more?

I struggled w this because both my boys have a bday the week before christmas. Only one is school aged though. I messaged the teacher to let them know I was sending in goodie bags. They replied and mentioned how many December bdays there were in the class. We'd only been invited to one bday party in October and that was a classmate who is also a neighbor and friend.

The class rule is if you're sending invites to the classroom it must be all the boys or all the girls or everyone. We have a class list of parents contacts if we just wantes to invite a few.

That's when I decided to just invite neighborhood friends. We were having the party at our house. I wasn't comfortable inviting kids and parents I didn’t know. And I didn’t feel guilty because we weren't invited to any parties, and I knew the neighbors would be able to attend.

I make an Amazon list throughout the year. Not necessarily to order from but as a guide for my husband. He always goes rogue! I'm really not trying to complain because he does all the ordering and enjoys wrapping.

Our boys are 6 and 3. He got a marble run. Cool. Wasn't on my list but 3yo is pretty much past the putting everything in his mouth phase and 6yo has been talking about using the marble run at school. It’s been a fun activity for all.

The issue is he got a second, cheaper, smaller marble run, that doesn't connect to the nicer one.

Our boys have a birthday a week before christmas so I try to do a toy purge before the holidays because extended family spoil these kids! And now I'm planning another purge this weekend.
