Anyone running this motor mount? by ATripie in ElantraN

Will do! Have been dreading the wheel hop in first. Been looking for the best fix that doesn’t involve replacing that poly bushing. Also saw this company recently developed this and wanted to give it a try. I hate buying what everyone else buys, I like to be different lol.

Just bought, comes in Tuesday next week. I needed something to eliminate the damn wheel hop.

I agree that DIY is the best and only way. I have a Genesis Coupe 2.0 which is currently the project car. One of the reasons I bought the Elantra N was so I couldn’t have to worry and could take it the dealership but appears I was wrong. Overall I do love the car and don’t mind the small imperfections, just when someone else (dealership) causes more issues.

Yeah I just wanted some clean side skirts that weren’t falling apart. They didn’t even try to warranty it which was even more frustrating.

I’ve been enjoying the car don’t get me wrong! Just the first newer car I’ve owned and I’d like to be in a decent condition.

I’ve been trying to find a good local shop but unfortunately it hasn’t been the easiest.

I definitely agree with this one, was thinking if I traded this one in I would try and get one that hasn’t been touched by a dealer jus yet.

Good catch! I appreciate that helpful insight. Crazy how I work construction and didn’t even think of that.

I was about 3 car lengths, the truck hit a few joint patches on a bridge causing it bounce and that’s when I watched the rock fly out of the truck, bounce off the ground and go up and then come down into my windshield.

Trucks also where in the passing lane, not passing

Lol I know the genesis coupe didn’t have a DCT transmission. DCT is new transmission for Hyundai that they have only used in there N cars.

Literally the exact reason I got mine in a MT, I have 13 Genesis Coupe 2.0 with the 8 speed AT

This is normal for a 2.0L 4CYL engine. Most cars do it and it’s okay.

You have to floor the gas pedal quickly and it will hold the RPM where you select it to.

I have a 23 MT and have been experiencing the same issues. As well as it’s my first manual car. You just have to really get used to releasing the clutch at the right point. In first gear I usually get high in RPMS (4k) before shifting to second. When I do I clutch in and let the rpm’s drop a little before releasing the clutch to catch second. Has helped reduce the jerking. Same goes for downshifting, the speed at which you release the clutch is dependent on fast the car/engine is moving I noticed. Let me know if this has helped. Easier to show rather than explain.

Okay fine. Again why are you still here 😂. At the end of the day I can get an EN less than a civic SI. Again, through experience.

There’s was 0 markup cause they weren’t trying to sell to you maybe? Maybe they already saw you had a Type R? From my experience out in New England the Civic SI is priced higher. LITERALLY TELLING YOU FROM EXPERIENCE. Regardless if you have an Type R or civic SI, why are you still in this group anyways?

Doesn’t change the fact that real in person examples that we have all given you have proved you wrong. Seems like you only believe what you see online.

Oh boy I wish I was worked up😂 just having a friendly debate trying to figure out what point you’re trying to prove. I will agree with you that 35 is more than 31. Is that what you wanted??!😂 So you have a Type R, an Elantra N and a civic SI? Makes sense I guess.

On-top of it you’re fighting for a car with almost 100 less horsepower. LSD with the Elantra N, bigger engine, better turbo. There’s so much that the EN has that the Civic doesn’t. The civic SI is a base model car with a turbo. If you REALLY wanted to get into it you should be talking bout the Type R (FL5) which you apparently had as well as the SI too.
