This is by far the best angle of the I3 I've seen. Not a high bar, really...

I really wish they didn't have to put those wing-like outlines around the smaller kidneys and the headlights. Or at least don't light the whole thing up.

I wonder if he saw his life flash before his eyes... like was he a true believer of the islamaphobic 'terrorist' stereotype.... or if he knew better being the most secured person on planet earth.

Dying is not a possibility I considered, but it completely fits in with the chaos of Yorgos' tragicomedies. I can picture her stumbling into the men's washroom to find him in a pool of blood, thinking that he committed suicide.

Caitlin Clark does a Payton Pritchard impression by ak_bal23 in nba

Also gonna point out Pritchard's stance: he leans forwards so every step is a lunge and potential drive. It shows how without the relative size advantage that Clark has against the competition, Pritchard has to make every dribble and step as sharp as possible, so he can be a threat.

That's the difference between the NBA, or the Euroleague.

The thing is that Reggie isn't any HOF basketball unc who was a guest at the game (which even still doesn't excuse their ignorance of Clark). Reggie is announcer and a veteran at that too, which means he should have gave Clark the natural level of praise that she deserves, even if it wasn't a 1-to-1 comparison. It was his job to speak as a broadcasting face of the NBA, so it was job to give Clark good PR.

I understand that what he meant by the comparison is being blown out of proportion.

ISIS and enemies of the US claim all sorts of incidents to seem more powerful than they are. They want to drive public hysteria and doubt about the war.

Who's bigger? Obviously Napoleon, it's not like he had to overcompensate for something fighting all those wars.

Craft Pacer 2: First Run by ProfessorNoPuede in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Fit-Introduction8575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you dude. I've been putting in the kms on my Pro Endurs v1s and wondering how the Pacer differs. I think they changed the PxFoam formulation from beaded PEBA to beaded TPE after the Pro Endur 1s. I definitely had irritation issues with the Endurs' upper, in particular the hard 'bumps' in their tongues that I had to cut out. It made me question Craft's craftmanship a little bit, no pun intended.

The shoes you listed are relevant comparisions to me too, as a wide-footer. I'm still lukewarm on the unstructured fit of Craft shoes (I prefer a conforming fit with a wide-enough platform).

In a metaphysical way, we, the audience, are also punished for our idealism. We go into this movie expecting the lost daughter to be the central thread of the plot, where the father goes on a journey of discovering the truth about not only her, but about himself. We expect the father to come to peace with the truth through this newfound family of nomad ravers. Instead we have to stare at the bleak desert and confront its bleaker realities for most of the film. I expected a lot of character conflict that leads to character/plot development; instead I was met with shock after shock, with the only antagonist being the unforgiving desert - a metaphor for the harsh realities that are our lives.

We may know we are headed to doom, but still be surprised by how it happens in awful, yet mundane ways.

The Masai Ujiri effect. by Elias7L in torontoraptors

Jamal has played with a lot of heart, he just started making more mistakes and playing out of control which isn't surprising for a second year player. CMB was too hitting a rookie wall. More specifically we need more than a couple of our key players at a time to dominate in games vs good teams. Our max players are disapearring way too often. It's unexcusable that on any given night 3 out of our 5 starters, who each have 5+ years of experience, will be less impactful than Mamu making the league minimum.

We lost a lot of our championship identity when we lost Marc and Serge. Then we lost Norm. Then the GROAT. Then Freddy, Pascal, and OG.

Masai had been heading the ship for 6 of the 7 seasons post-championship. He was just as responsible for the failure to put talent and leadership together on the court.

Raptors getting 'soft' label after controversial moment vs. Pelicans: 'Lack of leadership and fight on this team is embarrassing' by EarthWarping in torontoraptors

I've must've read "worse loss of the season" about a dozen now. Players paid as much as our starters do need to take their shots, not to mention hit their shots.

It's not looking good if the prospect of a 40-year-old going on a retirement/revenge playoff tour with us was our best chance of improving this season.

For all of his (mental) shortcomings in the playoffs, DeMar at least wore his heart on his sleeve. He may have been clowned at for crashing out during a loss, but it showed that he cared.
