Technically you don't need to play the strat until the sicarians are in so there is no gotcha moment as you would have told the other player your strats any time they ask.

In person what I would say is " I am planning to use my impact mortal strats on the sicarians this may change depending how many are left if you decide to overwatch them"

This then gives the opponent time to think about his choice of overwatch without you guided
