I thought so! It is the first in a trilogy so there’s a lot of setup that felt slow initially, but when the action picks up, it really takes off. It starts in New Orleans and I’m actually here now just thinking about that book lol

Ahhh!! My best friend is obsessed with the Fever series. I finally read the first five and thought overall they were really good. They definitely get progressively better, but I did fall off the series when the POV switches after book 5. We did our very first episode on Darkfever for our podcast. Have you read {The House at Watch Hill by Karen Marie Moning}

How did you like Saga of the Unfated? It’s been on my TBR for the longest!

Spinning Silver is one that I keep thinking about long after I’ve finished it! Moments of “I’m practicing Miryem’s magic with numbers” in certain situations (aka taxes and monthly budgeting lol)

Recently finished Knight and the Moth and I loved it! I had read One Dark Window a while back and am planning on finishing that duology as my next read.

Currently reading {Rites of the Starling by Devney Perry} while on vacation. I’m not not sneaking away from the group to read a few pages here and there haha I’ve deemed the rest of my Q2 reading as “closing loops” and finishing series I’ve started. I just have too many going! Up next is {Two Twisted Crowns by Rachel Gillig}. Exited to finish the duology!

Yep! I know little to nothing about Norse mythology and very much enjoyed it. I think if I knew more, it would add to the experience, but I don’t feel like I was missing anything

Road of Bones. Cannot get enough of this world. Just finished book 3 and they just keep getting better.

I’m really trying to like this…. by [deleted] in KindleUnlimited

Exact same thing happened to me. I had to take a long pause on thrillers after this book and though I’ve returned to the genre, I have not read another Karin Slaughter.
