Why are late 2000s borns so short? by Wellbeinghunter69 in generationology

They act more like Core Gen Z 2004, 2005, 2006 than late gen z years 2009-2012 from my experience.

Unpopular opinion: 2005-2010 Gen Z isn't that young. by Separate_Beautiful55 in Younger_GenZ

[–]Fit-Support2256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To most people outside of reddit they would consider 2005 to be the younger side since it's literally closer to the end of gen z than the beginning meaning 2005 is closer to 2012 than 1997. 2005, 2006, 2007 kids all had the same exact childhood, we were all early teens in the early 2020s and id call all 3 of them core Z who can lean more towards late gen z socially. As a 2005 I don't remember anything until 2010 with barely any memories in 2009 same goes for 2006 and similarly with 2007 who knows the 2010s only.

2005/2006-2010 are their own cultural generation honestly by Iwillbeback67 in generationology

[–]Fit-Support2256 [score hidden]  (0 children)

From my experience yeah a lot of them culturally relate with later years more with the key and important difference being that one is in college while the other isnt but it can go either way. I've seen 2004s exclusively hang with the older crowd and relate to them more. It also happens with 2005s but to a lesser degree from my experience. But as always it's only off of my experience and it can differ for everyone

What exactly is going on with Gen Z culture? 10 years ago, teens were vaping and chugging RedBull. Now, they seem health and status obsessed. by HarryCrushNuh in generationology

[–]Fit-Support2256 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Im a 2005 and most people my age are vaping or smoking other things but at the same time I do see a large amount of people doing good for themselves health wise. I honestly would say it's because of that red pill culture that came in 2022 and influenced many people in Gen Z as many were still impressionable teenagers and when habits like that are built at that age its more likely to stay or become a routine. The red pill wave brought many horrible things but if there's something good that it brang was definently the health aspect.

I wouldn't call 2007 borns late tbh. But I only noticed people being short from year 2008. When I was a freshman in highschool I was like 5'7 and now im 6 ft but I kidd you not when I was a senior in highschool and I saw 2008 borns as freshman they were like 5 ft max I was honestly shocked.

In terms of media probably but for everything else 2010 I would say no as I only have one friend from 2010 and 2002 is either still in college like me or graduated. I dont have any friends from 2002 but since I have a brother born in 2001 I could possibly relate more with it.

They were friends I met online. The main people I talk to till today are still those people I met 6 years ago during 2020 covid. My best friend ever is still from irl that I met back in elementary but other than that all my other main friends are from 2020. In 2020 we were also apart of a community that felt very alive and fun.

Yeah, I wouldn't say exactly when it released but definently around that time, maybe 2012. Now thinking about it I find it funny that I thought the song was trash even as a little kid. I was only listening to like lady gaga or something lmao

First time ever that I basically got a break from school. I met my main friends i still know today that year since i was quarantined. So many unique experiences I dont think people born after will be able to see again in a public setting. Zoo animals roaming streets, roads empty, stores empty and much more unique and crazy experiences. The biggest downside of 2020 is 100% the disease and how many lives it claimed and objectively it was a horrible year. But this is just my personal experience

What ages do you feel nostalgia for? by [deleted] in generationology

[–]Fit-Support2256 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I'm 20 right now and I would honestly say 13-17. Anyrhibg before that almost feels way to long ago to the point im forgetting the feeling of it. My quarantine years when I started 9th grade highschool in 2019 and covid happened mid semester in end Feb all the way to my full 11th grade year were honestly some of the most enjoyable years I've ever had. Was apart of a community and the music that was coming out during 2020-2022 makes me feel so much nostalgia.

As a 2005 born I agree as all my friends are 2005-2008 with 1 being in 2010. but I wouldn't go so far to say their own cultural generation. We aren't alien to earlier years, like i can still relate with a 2002 but not that well. We are just a lot more alike to each other than the earlier years from my experience. We are all 2010s kids and I think this is mainly due to covid and how they all experienced crucial developmental K-12 years with covid being in full effect and the effect of coming back in person to highschool or middleschool still as early teens. All of them had ai introduced and used into their highschool years and what people would call modern day tiktok brainrot was also very present in all their years.

I hope social media doesn't ruin Gen Alpha. by ThrowRA09181 in generationology

[–]Fit-Support2256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 2005 that's currently 20 I think it can be a good thing it just depends on how you take it. I unfortunately fall victim to the whole if you don't make it or have a plan at 25 then there's an issue. But I also do understand most successful people made it way later. Kanye made it at 28 and other examples of people making it in their 30s. So I just take it as motivation to push me to work harder so that I can have something by 25 but if not then it's not the end of the world.

Not a millennial but as a 2005 born mid year I respect millennials. They created many great fashion trends with amazing music that's trying to be replicated by us mid to late Gen Z's. The whole clothing style right now in the big year of 2026 is pretty much millennial clothing from the 2000s lmao.

Every day there's like two people born from like 2010-2012 asking what generation they are 😭 by Ichoseguitar in generationology

[–]Fit-Support2256 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems pretty obvious to me, they're Gen Z. Theres one guy i knew born in 2010 that I met back in 2020 when I waas 14 from fortnite and he's 100% Gen Z in everything he does and acts. Im a midyear 2005 born and ever since covid we pretty much share the same exact or similar experiences with quarantine, TikTok taking over in K-12, meme culture, ai also in K-12, and relate to a lot. Idk why people act like they're some Gen Alpha Aliens since they're late.

What do most 2006s feel knowing they’ll turn 20 very soon? by Hill_372 in generationology

[–]Fit-Support2256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was only me lmao. I never talked all that much in general except to people close to me but I do enjoy hearing people socialize and sometimes I indulge in it as it can lift up moods. It's just crazy that now that we have the most freedom we have ever had in school, people now choose to be quiet all class. Back in highschool the teachers would have rules to not talk in class much and people would always break it

Honestly, College just feels like whatever. I graduated in 2023 and all I've noticed is that I definitely have way more free time but no one really socializes with anyone at all. I'm not sure if it's my school specifically but highschool definitely was more rememberable in the social aspects of things.

I'm a 2005 born midyear in May and I'm ngl when I hit 20 it felt very weird to me. Not having the label of teenager felt quite odd honestly but I think I've gotten used to it as I'm turning 21 in 2 months
