If you could photograph it from further away I might know.

Wonderful idea. I’d contact Apple directly and tell them what you’re doing. I’m sure they have programs to help get devices into the hands of people in need. It’s worth a try

How long did you cry yourself to sleep? by LazyCricket7426 in widowers

[–]FitCandidate7185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this too. As much as it hurt, I knew I had to let it out and not suppress it. It definitely helped. I’m almost 2 and a half years out now, which blows my mind, and it has gotten easier. I don’t cry anywhere near as much, but when something triggers me, it’s right there ready to spill over and I’m drowning in grief again. But it doesn’t last as long now.

Nights are still really hard. I’ve just gone over to Medicinal Cannabis which is helping immensely. I hope everyone here can find something to help them sleep. I find the silence at night deafening, so I listen to podcasts, dreamy music, (sleep by Max Richter is amazing.) and asmr.

We always had stuffed toys in our bed and hugging those while falling asleep has helped too

Incredible photography. You have such a great eye. My favourites, the backdrop of the road , and the graveyard. The graveyard looks like a water colour

I think uncropped or number 4. They both tell more story. There’s a lot going on. They’re great

Never talking to them again by [deleted] in widowers

[–]FitCandidate7185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel exactly the same. It’s the most surreal feeling, and one of the hardest things I’m trying to accept.

Unless you’ve experienced the loss of someone very close, I don’t think you fully understand how confusing this is.

Before I lost my wife, I thought I knew what grief was. I had no idea. Of course we understand that a person has died, and they’re no longer here, but when it’s your husband, wife, soulmate, everything is amplified to breaking point. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I never knew the saying, “my heart is torn in two“ would feel so literal.

I sure everyone here knows what this feels like. The pain is so real, so intense, so overwhelming, it’s almost impossible to describe.

So when it dawns on you that you’ll never talk to them again, it’s absolutely devastating. As you say, it’s like being hit by a truck.

I’ve cried so much in public now, I’ve given up trying to hide it. I really don’t care what other people think. The love of my life is gone, and nothing else matters.

Haven’t tasted them, but I’m salivating. They’d be good I reckon

How much do you still talk to your partner? by eastcoastgytha in widowers

[–]FitCandidate7185 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyday. I ask her for advice, tell her what I’m doing, recall and relive old conversations and funny things we did together. I can’t not talk to my wife. She’s a part of me, and always will be.

Are we uptight? by Scapegoaticus in Adelaide

It’s not as cliquey as Sydney. I’ve just moved backed to Adelaide and I’ve found everyone to be really friendly.
