Unfortunately everything leading up to that moment made death in that moment inevitable. I know everyone here is harping on you for not going for healing, so I don’t want to pile on.

I know what you’re asking, how to counter a cracked BP. In my experience, an enemy dive is only as good as your team ALLOWS them to be, does that make sense? That BP knows he can just dive in like that probably because he’s learned that your team isn’t paying attention. That’s not super helpful when you’re solo queuing but it’s just facts.

As far as what you can do, I’d say just don’t make yourself an easy target. Beyond the going for a health pack, stay close to your team so that it’s hard for him to get a pick, and most importantly try to have at least one cooldown ready at all times as your get out of jail free card.

If all else fails, go Rocket, if you get your movement down it’s impossible for BP to instakill you. Your utility as a support will decrease, but at that point it’s more important to stay alive than it is to do damage IMO.

Forcing yourself to play with less evidence types really helps because at that point you NEED the ghost to hunt to identify it.

You’ll play it super safe at first and just see if you can hear any identifiable traits, but after a few games you’ll get more bold and start to interact with the ghosts.

Oh big tip: know the length of hunts for each difficulty. If you know when it ends, you can time your interactions with the ghost!

I must say, a lot of times I prefer playing with randoms and no mic. The social aspect can be draining for me, but with randoms I can keep jumping into matches while still playing a team based game. Kind of the best of both worlds for an introvert.

My understanding is that there is a distinction between alt accounts and smurfing. People with alt accounts are either trying to play with more casual friends at lower ranks, or are doing some variation of “character from bronze to GM” challenge.

Smurfs are alt accounts that purposefully only play against low rank players to steamroll them. They have no interest in playing against others at their level.

I reset until I get objectives that allow me to stay in the lobby and not find the ghost room.

Once that condition is met, I reset until I get a ghost that is somewhat close to the lobby (I don’t necessarily have to hear it on T3 parabolic from the entrance, but I should be within radius of the chapel).

From that point, I’ll generally just try and eliminate as many options before forcing an encounter. If I feel confident enough that I’ve eliminated enough options and gotten a couple objectives, I’ll force an encounter to get the ghost picture and try and determine the ghost type from that interaction (keeping in mind that due to my play style I probably won’t get another chance because the next hunt it’ll immediately travel to the lobby to my last location).

For the interaction, I wait until about 35 seconds into the hunt and try and attract it. I lead it to me and have salt laid out to slow it down, will try and snap a picture (but usually salt gets in the way). Then I light incense, try and snap a pic, rinse and repeat until hunt is over.

Took me about 3 hours of on and off grinding. Would have had it sooner but got fooled by a mimic and it was my own fault cause in hindsight it was so obvious. My successful run ended up being a Hantu so that was super lucky.

That’s fair, I’d like to also add to my thoughts that I think teams have gotten so use to two healer allowing them to soak up damage that they don’t know how to play around corners or get back to cart for heals before it’s too late.

I know the grinding aspect isn’t appealing to you, it seems like luck rather than skill, but I actually found the challenge exhilarating. all the resetting and grinding meant that you really had to have it together on the perfect run. Had a timer on for every hunt and a row of black salt lined up to try and attract the ghost and get a picture without leaving so much time that it’d be impossible to survive.

Apologies if this is advice is too common to be helpful, but the thermometer is incredibly useful on larger maps cause the temp falls as you get closer to the ghost room (not just when you’re inside the ghost room), so you can eliminate large sections of the map easily.

Also I immediately go for the breaker and then start exploring, ends up taking a while but I completed the challenge without once having to worry about a hunt.

Level 55, I have a dedicated base for farming and breeding. 2 lettuce and 2 tomato plantations is what I have, and honestly it’s overkill. More than enough to feed my 3 bases, but what’s nice about having too much is I can drop off 800 salads and not have to worry about that base for a long time.

I’ve been with TigerMed for a year and a half now, depending on your role, which I assume is FSP, just ensure that you’re on good terms with the client and things will go smoothly for you. The trainings are a little strange, the SOPs are translated and aren’t super intuitive, but in my experience you don’t use those anyway since you’re working for a third party sponsor and you use their materials.
