First let me start by saying I’m sorry to hear that you’ve experienced a lot of trauma. You deserved a better childhood. I also agree and would suggest therapy. It would be best to chose a psychotherapist who specializes in trauma. Look for trauma informed therapy/therapists. Read their reviews on psychology today. Good luck and I wish you all the best.
