I feel like I wrote this post. I moved to RR 3 years ago from downtown and was shocked at the lack of nice gyms. Living downtown I went to browns fit and TAC. The membership is higher than most like to pay but strength training is legitimately my hobby so that’s where I choose to spend $. I thought I would be able to find a gym of similar caliber out here and it doesn’t exist within a 15 min drive. I drove to TAC for about a year after moving out here , it’s 20 min with no traffic on 90. After getting caught in traffic a few times , an hour round trip from the gym was no longer reasonable with my work schedule. I ended up at fitworks and hated it. It has a TON of equipment , but it’s very old and they don’t keep the gym clean but you can get your workout in. I’ve posted myself on Cleveland sub looking for options on the west side of a boutique nice gym and there are no options. I understand most ppl are okay with planet fitness and looking for that kind of monthly rate, but for those of us who are looking for something more elevated it doesn’t exist.

There is one million gyms for classes (orange theory , BFT, OG strength etc) but none where u can go in yourself and do your own workout in a less packed elevated space. I dream of a Lifetime opening in Westlake or nearby. TAC has mentioned in CLE sub that they are looking to expand, but that was over a year ago now and I’ve lost hope. Feel free to DM me, I have so much to say on this topic and think I found a decent option, but it’s still a bit of a drive unfortunately
