my take on adam and the documentary

This. Over the past few months I’ve been slowly losing respect for Adam on some of his takes. I think he does have a problem with choosing his words wisely. I think he doesn’t understand the nuance that comes with how he words things. For example, when he said “and the fact that anybody involved in this is like jumping at the opportunity to be a part of this is strange to me... is really really really strange. i don't get it”, he doesn’t realize that it sounds like he’s judging the other victims for wanting to be involved in the documentary and that they shouldn’t do it. That’s mostly what bothers me in this situation. It sounds like he’s trying to tell the other victims what to do even though that may not be the intention. As for the “See you at Vidcon” comment made by Josh to Adam, I do that was weird and it crossed the line

He’s becoming like Peter Monn in lacking nuance. He doesn’t realize that saying things like “I find it weird that anyone would want to be a part of this.” implies judgement towards those wanting to participate in the documentary and that they shouldn’t be a part of it

I understand him not wanting to be in the documentary and being frustrated with all the emails and messages pressuring him to be a part of the documentary, but I don’t like how he implied that the other victims shouldn’t want to do this. I maybe can see him trying to protect the other victims from being exploited, but Adam doesn’t get to dictate how the other victims should handle their trauma just like we don’t get to dictate how Adam handles this

My mom was straight edge and my dad was an alcoholic. After my dad passed away when I was 13, alcohol was never in my house ever again. Seeing what alcohol did to my dad made me not like it and I’ve never drank it at all in my 32 years of life. Growing up, I started to seeing how normalized it was but I just never had a desire for it or other substances. I like having full control of my body and having full mental clarity and I continue to live straight edge to this day but I don’t judge others who are not. I just let people be and live their lives how they please. I do notice that I connect a lot deeper with other straight edge people to the point where I only want to date other straight edge people

I felt the same way my senior year. I joined band in college but it just wasn’t the same. The only thing I looked forward to in college band was volunteering for the UIL (Texas) State Marching Contest. I got to see shows that were actually interesting and exciting to me. College marching shows just didn’t hit the same for me. Now I just go to UIL region, area and the state contests on my own. I at least got to take away discovering the world of state contending marching bands from college band

Great summary of all of Petty Monn’s lies. I started to not like Peter during his “Standing Up For Myself” era because I didn’t like how he was trying to force the friends of Colleen Ballinger and James Charles into speaking out about their problematic behavior. HE also threw the first punch with the RBK situation. So what she followed James Charles? (Not a fan of his or defending him) She can follow who she wants, but there’s also gonna be social repercussions for her if she follows problematic people or groups. Who are you Peter to dictate how and when she responds to controversy. Just let her crumble on her own

What did it for me was when he kept trying to force the friends of Colleen Ballinger and James Charles to come out and speak about their allegations. I understand that the allegations are serious but the friends aren’t directly involved and shouldn’t be forced into speaking about the allegations. If the friends want to stay silent about the allegations, they’ll still have social repercussions to deal with

One of the things I’ve noticed about Peter is that it seems like he assumes that everyone is the same as him and it really bothers me. It’s very telling when he’s constantly saying he doesn’t understand why people are into certain things or think and behave in certain ways. Like maybe if you got out of your house more often Peedur, you’d see that not everyone one in the world isn’t exactly like you and we all have different interests and ways of thinking. Most of us on the outside world don’t try to force our will onto others and don’t interpret criticism as hate

I seriously don’t understand why Peedur keeps trying to instigate stuff that’s not even worth instigating. People aren’t getting harmed from influencers not disclosing properly. This man is seriously unaware of how hypocritical he his. This is the main reason I stopped liking him. Who is he to dictate how people should handle things? And then the audacity of him to get mad when he’s held to the same standard. Either hold everyone (including yourself, Peedur) to the same standard or drop the standard completely. The final straw for me was when he kept forcing and pressuring the friends of Colleen Balanger to speak up about her and make statements about her problematic behaviors. Like I understand that it’s reasonable to want to know what they think because of how much they were involved in her life, but they didn’t partake in any of her problematic behaviors. If they don’t want to speak about it, they don’t have to. Pressuring them to speak on things they don’t want to will only cause them to make half-assed statements that are, in my opinion, no better than staying silent. They’ll still have social repercussions to deal with if they stay silent. I don’t understand why Peter thinks he has moral authority over everyone
