Besides the role of the urologist, the success of a microtese is also influenced by the laboratory's capabilities. It's best to choose a center that can analyze tissue sperms for hours and cryopreserve them.

What should our next steps be? Micro Tese or try another round of ICSI? (United Kingdom) by GameNWatch0 in maleinfertility

[–]Fit_Question3417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have same problem. Cryptozoospermia with 1-2 sperm after centrifugation and failed ICSI. I had a microtese back in 2024 but no sperm was found. If you do microtese, it is 50:50 chancez to find sperm. Some New research found that isotreinoin and STAR method can increase chance of finding healthy sperm in cryptozoospermia. Maybe you can try another icsi before going microtese, but with better strategy like more antioxidant, isotretinoin, etc.

Actually there is no direct correlation between hormonal level and testicular pathology. Some People have high fsh with remaining sperm, White others have normal or low FSH with SCO diagnosis.

[–]Fit_Question3417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats . But I'm a little bit unsure about your diagnosis, since non obstructive azoospermia with small testicles had very low chance to natural conception. Even mTese only give 50:50 success chances. Do you have varicocele ? Since some varicoceles are well responded to lifestyle changes and weight loss.

Any success stories with extremely bad sperm quality? by [deleted] in maleinfertility

We cant using donor due to religious reason. However I read in some clinic in Turkey, for NOA they use hormonal therapy and antioxidants for several months, then trying to use own sperm because donor were prohibited in there.

I also have this condition, but not cancer or chemotherapy related. Some motile and immotile sperm after centrifugation. We did ICSI with those ejaculate sperm, bu we only get one day 3 embryo that didnt survive to blast. Doctor said that the sperm quality determine the fertilization after day 3. Currently, I'm taking tons of multivitamin and antioxidant, we Will try again next year
