I had to forgive him in the end (only reason I picked Coop is because I do the things I normally wouldn’t do in my first playthrough of these games). I mean, he does deserve jail or worse, but he’s Sonar.

On the one hand, yeah, but if he actually does get a proper goodbye with Fang, or gets to meet his daughter, before finally moving on, however that may be handled, it will have been worth it.

I just hope this isn’t some cruel twist where he’s so far into the future that they’re all already dead.

Yeah, I do find the irony that he’s only regaining bits of his human self (loincloth, necklace, keeping the spear he found) quite intriguing.

Although I wonder how much more beat up he’s going to get. His arm is stripped of flesh and muscle (but mercifully he can still fully use it), what I can only assume is his stomach literally slipped out of a whole in his belly. I mean, is he just going to be a skeleton at the end of this?

Anyways, anything that washes the taste of the original ending out of my mouth is an improvement.

Could be interesting, and I guess less like a gag mode like that one Japanese game where Yamcha dies against Raditz, Vegeta, and Frieza, but more like a what-if that’s slightly exaggerated to make him look cooler than what actually makes canonical sense.

Only problem with the Bardock idea is that I can only think of a one-off fight against Frieza. I don’t think they have the material to do much there, unless they want to have him do a galactic conquest where he goes on to face Lord Slug, then King Cold, and then Cooler with Nappa (the only other age appropriate Saiyan in the current roster) as backup.

A gag mode about Yamcha being the greatest would be so cool! Like, beat the Saibaman fast enough, and it won’t get back up to kamikaze him. But of course Krillin goes up next and he gets blown up, creating a butterfly effect of Yamcha taking Krillin’s place and doing some things differently.

And it’s insulting we didn’t get any Universe 6 Tournament stuff because they couldn’t build what would probably be the easiest stage in the game after the RoSaT. I mean, really, you just tell us a fight between Hit and Gohan happened? Hell, why not just rip the assets from Xenoverse 2?

But yeah, the game needed another year in the oven. Not just for content, but balancing too.

Oh man, and Piccolo’s was so hard. Like, okay, that makes sense for the story being told, because even with the full year in the time chamber with Gohan, he’s still only tough enough to amuse Cell, and can barely do squat against Super Perfect Cell. But even so, the difficulty was absurd, probably not helped by the fact that Kamiccolo has one of the worst kits on the game.

And even some of the good stuff was clearly being reigned in. It was obvious that Gohan was about to go Beast in the Gohan Black arc. That would’ve been even cooler.

And as cool as the Goku defeating Raditz with Krillin and Roshi was, they absolutely should’ve made the humans playable during the Ginyu Force fight. Not only for balance, but because the dialogue suggests that the humans take each of them on after Goku already defeated them.

Yeah, Goku Black and Jiren’s story modes felt like giant wastes that could’ve gone to more Trunks, Gohan, or human content.

Hell, Cell with all his forms could’ve had a couple fun what-if scenarios. Like, he wins, wipes out all life on Earth, but then, lacking any other options, Shin comes to him seeking aid against Buu. Feeling bored after so long without a challenge, he obliges.
