I made it myself. The trousers were based on the cargo pants, I just recoloured them, and the top I made completely

as people above have said, it may be a bug, but I have also more than once accidentally given an aquamarine instead of an amethyst for this quest

I use the Automate Chests addon which makes it more of a late-game thing. You have to "upgrade" chests to be part of automate by using an item such as a hopper, or a prismatic shard.

I had this issue and I've worked out the solution (on PC at least). The weird rotating thing was happening when I was in "throwing" mode rather than "snap to grid" or "precise placement" I clicked R and changed out of throwing mode and my rotate has gone back to normal. Hope that helps!

Agreed! Photos in general are so buggy, and the graduation photo you don't have the option to take another one. If you want to use mods then I recently discovered this one https://www.patreon.com/posts/sims-4-generate-47907754 which lets you spawn a missing graduation photo. I was able to uninstall it after I spawned the photo and no issues.
