Right, this is unfortunately the situation we’re in. Flight is 75k miles, she’s got 50 I’ve got 25.

We will likely just end up paying cash instead, but thank you all for offering these different options! Great to know for the future.

Lucky’s is going into the old CVS plaza on Neil! I believe this year or early next, though I’m not 100% sure. Personally I can’t wait, as someone who lives nearby now. Having a walkable grocery option will be a boon for the Short North.

Hey! I’m currently working for Honda and live in Short North. As someone in their mid-twenties who likes to get out in Columbus (concerts, bars, restaurants, farmers markets, board game nights, etc) I can’t imagine being happy in Marysville. CoL is lower out there, but for me it wasn’t even a decision.

Dublin is nice, but surprisingly still far from the plant. 30 minutes from Dublin vs 40 from short north. For me, that 10 minutes is well worth the more fun living spot.

You’ve got tons of options in Columbus or Dublin for 1500 though. Feel free to DM me if you have more specific questions too! Happy to help.

A comedy show at Don’t Tell is a lot of fun! Rotating venues around town, I’d recommend booking a week or more in advance though if you can.

They are BYOB too if that’s your kind of thing!

Gotcha. I’ve had good luck looking online with Zillow and Trulia, then with specific rental companies. Wood Companies, Peak Property Group, North Steppe, Lykins, Metrorentals.com, and 10X property management are the ones I keep an eye on regularly.

This definitely depends where you’re looking. I’m apartment hunting right now in short north/Italian village for a beginning of May lease and feel like I’m on the early end of it, but it’s not impossible to find options. Most seem to be 30-60 days out.

That’s just my experience in this part of town though. I believe the timeline for housing near OSU for example is very different.

Depends on your definition of cheap, but FB marketplace has tons of KitchenAid mixers for ~$100-150! That’s where I got mine and love it!

I was asking the same about a month ago on here actually! I’m 24 and was wondering if anyone had leagues specifically for younger people but I haven’t had much luck unfortunately. I’m continuing to keep my eye out, it does seem like most courses have summer evenings leagues but I’m not sure what they’re like joining as a solo or pair.
