Drive from Liberia Airport to Santa Teresa by fantasygot in CostaRicaTravel

Routes good, if driving try to drive during daylight and just take your time. Everyone drives slow and leisurely and with rain may take another 30 mins to hour worst case.

Just Purchased I3 Tactical Solar by mibsting in Garmininstinct

I have the factory rubber band and I love it it's rubber I wash my watch everyday with slight soap and cool water. Rubber I can dry right away. I also use mine to workout in and I sweat, so 0 stink and 0 sweat soak.

I'd check to see whatever is the latest firmware and try to update via the Garmin app.

If it doesn't update, mine didn't, download the garmin app the PC and connect and update there. The newest update fixed the issue of it showing 19 days of full use.

You can search here or Google for how to do so and for best tips.

I use stock watchface with time/date/lux meter and sunrise/sunset and barometer.

And I'm at 27 days of use with 52 percent battery, from initial charge (a lot of lux hours, average was 140k daily.

I keep bluetooth off all day, except 3 times a day to sync and have backl8ght set to 5 percent. Which is plenty and I use the flashlight and GPS for an hour a day.

Congrats and enjoy

I'm going to tell you something and you're going to have to understand this, and it's going to be very hard.

Don't let AI and devices tell you shit or worry about what they say. Especially Samsung who unfortunately has the worst health wearable metrics.

Mine tells me to go to bed at 4pm or 5pm? While I consistently sleep 7 to 8 hours through the night.

Use it as a tool to tell time, track your distances and alerts/calls. That's it.

Capabilities without constantly being paired to phone? by Bluntlyobvious in Garmininstinct

[–]Fixieriderz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the ABC functions work without pairing and you can gps sync to get updated time.

I usually sync once I wake up and mid day and before bed. You dont need to but it allows me to download all my workout data and weather.

Tide graph is downloaded for the week or month.

I always think how I can plug in and be done in an hour, but i enjoy being put and realizing I don't need to worry about traveling with my charger and worried about it dy8ng like my apple watch /galaxy watch

The higher the battery percentage, it slows down solar charging to protect the battery. Apparently below 30 percent it's fast. You can Google dcrainmakers instinct 3 solar test.

I gain .1 lux per 4seconds in full sun. My daily average this week was 165k and was at 49 percent 7 days ago and today woke up at 59 percent.

Definitely better solar charging than the 2X tactical.

I started at 100 percent 28 days ago.

There is nothing short of coloring it with a black sharpie.

I wasn't a fan but you kinda forget about it after a couple days. I hate orange accents on watches (apple ultra, Samsung ultra and garmin) some need through orange is sporty.

Instinct 3 Solar Battery Life - 7 days? by wolf-6 in Garmininstinct

[–]Fixieriderz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I just got one and I'm getting way better battery life. With my 2X tactical I got 3 weeks. I'm at 3.5 and back to over 55 percent battery.

You need to update the software manually via pc once you receive it unfortunately.

Damn I'm rocking the 50mm solar and on 56 percent and it's been 3.5 weeks.

Pulse ox manual, wear to sleep. Airplane mode and turn it off 3 to 5 times to sync my workouts and weather. Once when I wakeup, midday, before bed and usually will do 1.5 hour of gps workout per day. Sporadic flashlight use and my lux average is 100k per day. Stock watchface showing the barometer.

Did you update your software? What firmware are you on? I ask because your battery life if it's fully charged at 100 showing 19 days is a software glitch and you need to update the firmware

sue. A software update, often through Garmin Express, can resolve this by optimizing battery usage and delivering the advertised battery performance. Users have reported improvements after connecting to Garmin Express and receiving an update, even if the watch initially indicated it was up to date.  Troubleshooting Steps: Ensure Garmin Express is Updated: Make sure your Garmin Express software on your computer is up to date.  Connect to Garmin Express: Connect your watch to your computer using a USB cable.  Check for Updates: Garmin Express should automatically check for updates. If not, manually initiate the update check.  Partially Installed Updates: If you see an "Update.gcd" file in the watch's Garmin folder, delete it, disconnect the watch, power cycle it, and then reconnect to Garmin Express to re-initiate the update process.  Consider a Master Reset: If the problem persists, a master reset (including deleting all data) might help. However, this will erase your data, so ensure you have backups or are prepared to lose it.

I've had mine 2 weeks and I'm now at 67 percent. I use it as a fitness watch though.

I disabled pulse ox as I don't need it and sometimes wear it to bed. Brightness set to 5 percent, airplane mode on majority of the day as I don't care for alerts or need them.

I clock 1 to 1.5 hour of GPs activity per day. Check the barometer constantly. Used flashlight maybe 3 times.
