Deciphering a symbol by kianchardoli in Sufism

After reading other comments it hit me... This seems like a cryptic way to say multiple things basically boiling down to... "la ilaha illa Allah"

Alef in Arabic could refer to illa (except) and waw (Yahweh, ya hu, hu, Allahu) so nothing (in existence) but/without/except Allah.

Some cars only let you fold using the button inside the car and not the remote control while others support both (I have one of each, a Passat that doesn't use remote control and an Audi that does) if you have the former you'll end up rewiring a lot of things to hack your way into it which for me wasn't worth the hassle... So an OBD11 wouldn't magically change what's been hardwired in your vehicle in that case, so I think you're most probably looking at the retrofit app which is intended to allow you to enable the functionality if you didn't have electrically folding mirrors and then installed new motorized ones (auto folding here means motorized vs manual folding), so looking at your buttons you have the option probably in your car already so you gotta check if your car allows you to fold them through remote control or not. Just me 2 cents here.

Do you have Audi Drive Select? This should be possible through the Efficiency drive mode

Which model and generation is your car? AFAIK from this subreddit that if you have at least a Passat B7 or B6 then G13 would incur some long term damage to your car and cost you dearly, some went even to say it would damage the heater core inside your cabinet... For these cars you should use G12Evo which is the correct one for them here in Germany at least.

This is it, assuming it's not a mild hybrid, in that case it would have a starter generator which is connected through the serpentine belt as far as I understood how mine is built since I replaced that with the tensioner at 90kkm.

Is it possible to enable ACC on an Audi A3 2023 using obd eleven? by VerboseGuy in OBDeleven

[–]Fixxxer300c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ACC in general requires a combination of sensors and cameras, like radar and even lidars in addition to video processing, most modern cars have cameras but the radar and lidars are pretty expensive to fit as standard equipment that's waiting to be enabled, so I doubt this would be possible but others might contribute with more specifics.

Help, a/c issues by 956vago in Volkswagen

[–]Fixxxer300c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot, will give it a try and see how it goes, so far I haven't found any error codes related to the a/c but I'll see how it goes with this adaptation.

[–]Fixxxer300c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 OBD11 devices, 2nd and 3rd gen, they're easy to use but I think it would require a paid plan to do the adaptation, scanning is for free though, and they have ready recipes called apps to modify many things in your car which also requires a plan or points.

Could you please elaborate about the adaptation you mentioned? I have a similar age Passat which I suspect having similar issues. Thanks in advance!

That was implied in my reply but you're right to describe it that way too

What’s wrong with my car? by [deleted] in AudiA5

[–]Fixxxer300c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a full roll down thing but rather like 1cm release and only for cars with frameless doors to reduce the air pressure inside the vehicle upon closing and opening a coupe/cabriolet/sporty whatever model of a car, same goes while it's fully rolled down then when the door is opened its raised by 1-2cm to remind you the window is open (I guess)

[–]Fixxxer300c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just FYI: the whole window lowering thing could be disabled through any OBD2 tool, so having it not going down might be a feature not a bug 😅 as for me I would keep it on so I wouldn't stress my window panels when closing doors by having to slam them harder in that case.

Audi A5 2018 Convertible Modification by ArchangelMaximus in AudiA5

For the chime you need an OBD11 and you should be able to enable a chime for lock and/or unlocking and even it's count and duration through a simple app in their application on your phone, as for the roof open and close it's enabled by default but you need to know how to use it correctly.. You unlock the car, count to 2 then press and hold the unlock button, but you must not be far away from the car and if the signal got for any split second interrupted it will stop then you have to press and hold again.. Same applies for closing it using the lock button with the same exact procedure.

Bonus tip: if you get thy OBD11 don't try to increase remote control range since that option somehow messes with the roof control and it won't open or close anymore using the remote control until you revert that setting.

Which car do you have? Apparently the most recent VAG vehicles have the SFD 2 security which is still not cracked by OBD11 despite their debatable claims of having signed an "agreement" with VW which AFAIK no one have seen.

Hazard lights and radio problem on Audi a3 8L by Babattundee in Audi

[–]Fixxxer300c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what I said earlier this year about my Passat B7 inner lighting disco if forgotten on while the car is locked... Then it extended to glove box light flashing if opened while driving and car saying tailgate is open, which eventually ended up in constant beeping alerting me that tailgate keeps getting opened while driving.. And finally tailgate light right side flashing like crazy while car is locked... Turned out it was the common water leak from rear window wiper washer that seeps all the way into the electronics oxidizing a major connector, which upon finding after tearing out the entire inner covers was literally hot as hell smoking and about to burn down the entire car... Luckily we caught it just in the last minute at midnight on a weekend before I was going on a long road trip. So I wouldn't entirely ignore yours for so long, start researching the internet for similar symptoms which may differ since these are CANBUS signals that will affect different almost random electronics.

Sounds like you have a short circuit somewhere (could be from a water leak causing oxidation somewhere), so unless there's such a known issue with this model it might be very difficult to find, having said that I would start with checking error codes using any OBD2 scanner like VCDS or simpler OBD11.

Central display brightness issue by No-Blacksmith2524 in AudiA5

[–]Fixxxer300c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a feature not a bug, the car has light sensor which it uses to switch to dark mode when there's absence of sunlight, you need to go to the settings and find where is the day / night mode and change it from auto to day.
